Fashion Doll
When the world dictates your appearance

Another day, another choice,
in the mirror I look my blank face’s pose.
Others' whims my form dictate;
the Different I'll tease, I'll mock and berate .
My own old image, in abyss I’ve tossed;
forgotten she stays; my vanity’s toll.
My trusty reflection, I’ve long now lost.
The anonymous mass appearances control.
For today I'll choose a beautiful mask;
my emptiness, my loneliness, my fears to mask.
