VIOLETS AND ROSES
A BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION FOR VIOLET FROM GYPSYROSE

The Clowns are coming into town today
Like fluttering butterflys wanting to play.
This is GypsyRose's Birthday poem to you..
Dear little Violet, we all send our love that is true.

I was just a Newbie when you and I first met
You reviewed my "Vera" poem, please don't you  'ere forget.
I had just lost my dearest friend when God took Vera away
But then God sent me a "Violet" that would brighten up my day.

So..I asked you to join me on the "Troubadour" Ship
And we gathered up some great folks and we both cracked the whip.
We made up funny jokes~and I called you our dear "Violetti"
We combined our noodles and made them a batch of spagetti.

We were dubbed the "Snicker Duo,"  'cuz we ate them round the clock
But late one night to our surprise, our ship crashed into a rock.
Stop us? NO!  We hitched our team, rounding up the very best..
We called ourselves the PIONEERS and began our journey out west.

Our Group was not a bit afraid, and we all pulled together
We called "Heave Ho" and began to roll, we faced all kinds of weather.
Though I had to pull my wagon over, when hubby had a heart attack
You gathered support from all of the Group, who were strong as the best hard tack.

Then times for you were hard, dear friend, and you were feeling blue
So we started a jolly Clown Club just to help you make it through.
Our Circus Contest is to make others laugh and keep all smiles intact
When you wrote about "LEON," I  just knew your sense of humor was back!

When  I bow my head to pray each night I ask  God to bless all the crew
And my  special plea is that He'll give Violetti,  a "forever love" that will always be true.
As the bright moon now shines down on you, and the stars are twinkling bright
May you feel the love of his angels as they protect you throughout the night.

Have the Happiest Birthday,dear Violetti, and we thank you for all you have done.
These balloons now are flying upward~ onward~ and into the blasting sun..
The cake's yummy Chocoletti~so..let's jump rope and see who will win the big prize
We hope that you laugh hard, and have lots of fun today,
Because on your birthday we we all sing out..
