hollow words
an apology too late, a futile effort; wanting to help someone but your energy has run out

I’ll fix you in time
Lackluster spine
You’re outdated, confined
Motives left undefined

Principles.
Uncouth yet aloof
Your neglect of a truth
The alibi is a noose

I’ve lied to you?
A forever predestined lose
Even in my own sleep
But a noose left to reach

Forgo the insanity,
We now rest knee deep
Freeze cluster, blood seep
Indecisive to keep

Amid laughing disguise
Revival bleak in your eyes
I have seen nothing new
But thanks for the try
