PORTRAIT OF FALL

** #1466203 Not An Image **

The lofty pines retain their hue of forest green
but some trees turn colors, subtle and serene.
The Master Painter takes His brush in hand
and quickly transforms the beauty of the land.

From His palette come the colors all around,
bright yellow, mixed with shades of rusty brown.
Fiery red leaves added to make the forest bright
so that everyone can see and admire with delight.

The days become shorter and the nights are chill,
the Master Painter isn't done, He's painting still.
A touch of orange and paler green will cover all,
another masterpiece created.- a portrait of Fall.

Fall is such a lovely season that I like the best;
a great display of color before nature takes a rest.
God gives us something beautiful to remember
to sustain us through the whiteness of December.
