All Of What Is Me
Not my promise, my declaration.

ALL OF WHAT IS ME

If you ask me what is mine,
if you put it to the point of the question,

then I answer,
without thought,
this:

What is mine,
is only mine because of your eyes.
When I lose myself in your eyes

    then what is mine,

is what is there,
inside you.

For I have left me
behind...

forgotten,
    forsaken,

discarded like yesterday's coffee!

~~~~~~~
All of what is me
is,
more rightly,
that which becomes me
after a moment in the light of your smile!
When you smile
I smile...
I breathe...
    Can't not!
When you smile,
the sun rises on my horizon
and life on my barren planet begins...
  When you smile your sunlight,
that which I was
never was.
That which I was,
was before you.
All of what is me,
what I will become,
is the promise in your eyes!
