The Slaying…

My life is bleak when I arrive.
They see the fury in my eyes.
They take me to a padded cell -
I think I’ve gone straight down to hell!

I’m stuck in here because I slew
My girl friend and my brother, Drew.
For they snuck off behind my back -
And soon I found them in the sack.

My rage within engulfed my mind,
My anger did my senses blind.
I took my gun and then I shot -
Not thinking that I might get caught!

The cops then came and I just sat
Beside my girl at whom I spat.
And now I sit alone forever -
Waiting for my wrists to sever…

I have had enough of this.
With God I might find what I miss.
I soon will close my earthy door -
To be with Thee - forevermore…
