One of nature’s
Nocturnal and solitary creatures, The night owl, Sits atop an eerily dark and shadowy tree branch. With luminescent yellow eyes, The all-seeing predatory bird In search of a deadly kill To satiate his healthy appetite. The perched owl surveys the quiet And inauspicious grounds For an unsuspecting bird, mouse, Or reptile to devour; A seemingly endless wait ensues – Then, the magnificent owl reaps the kind And beneficent rewards of a tasty meal, Attacking and fatally wounding his latest victim…
