As we hurry through our busy days, let us not forget the men and women,
that are the reason why we can go to our jobs. As they are educated, trained
and taught to love, honor and protect our country, we have an obligation to them.
Thank God, for each and everyone, for their love of country, love of family, their
bravery to put their lives in harms way, each and every day, so that their families
friends, children and grandchildren, neighbors, visitors to our country will all be safe.
Let us not forget the great ones that have given their lives for each and every one of
us.Just so we may have the quality of life we enjoy daily.
I can't help but feel anything except love and pride in humanity as I think of all
these very patriotic and honorable soldiers and their families. I can look back at my
own family history, there have been many that served in different branches of the
military. The closest being my husband, father and brother serving in the United
States Navy. One brother served in the Army. My dad fought in the Korean War
and World War ll. My husband served near the end of the Vietnam War.
My Cousin retired from the United States Marines. I have a nephew serving in the
United States Navy presently; he in for the duration of his career. Our family is so
very proud of each and everyone of them. If anyone asks me " who are my favorite
heros', I would have to answer, all those who serve their country proudly."
As we look forward to this coming Labor Day weekend, Let us all say a prayer
for all the soldiers. Fallen hero's as well as those proudly serving our country today.
Ask our heavenly father to not only keep watch over them but to watch over their
families and loved ones. Our soldiers have very important jobs to do, that require
their utmost attention. We should do everything possible to help their families
while they must be away.
If you own an American flag please fly it proudly. Whenever you get a chance please donate or
volunteer your time or services for holidays paying tribute to our American servicemen
and women. Please support our troops at home and abroad.
