Walking in a dream

The sea mist when the sun shatters
With a thousand rays of effulgence,
When the deep blue of the wavy translucence
Merges with the wide blue of endless skies,
When the magnolia white of the flying kites
Rises in a brilliant patch across the granite ranges,

I feel as though
I am walking in a dream.

When the green of the graceful fields
And that of the tall pine and the eucalyptus
Cascades smoothly on my eyes and eyelids,
When my heart glows at the delicate swirls
On the pearly white roses and stately lilies
Their fresh fragrance assaulting my senses,

I feel I am verily
Walking in a dream.

When the splendor of the seven notes spreads
From earth to heaven carried on airy wings,
When its resonance of mellifluous music
Spirals to meet the universal philharmonic,
In those moments of joyous radiance
When my whole being bows
In gratitude to the Sublime Presence,

I feel I am blissfully walking
Through the avenues of a dream.
