BROKEN SMILE
I am just a broken smile, A picture half-painted, An incomplete song with an Opening repented; A path lost in wilderness, A ship without a shore, A boat caught in a whirlpool Without a sail or oar. I still have those memories Of days when you and I To somehow catch the moments Of love did always try. Now all is gone, I’m alone, I must walk a long mile. And as I walk I carry With me a broken smile. * Written in abcb, 7-6-7-6 format. Initially posted on allpoetry.com. Posted as the present item on 29 August 2008. M C Gupta 22 October 2004
