A HARD DAY
Love, Today you were strong, long before I came. Today you were free, well before your lips knew my name. Today you were You, long before; of this be not ashamed. And you had happiness before me, in this remember and reclaim. Mahal, You are full of love, my desire aflame. You are my higher of highers, in you I became. You are that dream of dreams, the smallest of crevices believe the same. And know, in my love, in my thoughts, it is you I acclaim; in you I remain. Oh! Cassiopeia, when days are hard look and listen upon high. Feel the wind’s fancy on your skin dancing to trees playing the violin. Accept the river’s wet kisses on your toes, ankles, thighs and hips on your stomach, breasts and neck, in droplet trips. Drink the sweetness of honeysuckles become inebriated on the ocean’s breath surrender to tickles by daisies; just behind your knees. Bathe in winter warm and summer cool currents tell them where to move and where to pause explaining, 'just because.' Listen to your petals opening your nature romancing each; in your tide, outreach... and float me to you.
