Steaming blacktop,
Sandaled feet,
Roaring jets
In Formation.
B-52's to climb into,
Sonic booms
Rattling your bones.
Little hands on ears,
Little hats on heads.
Daddies in green
Flight suits.
Mommies in
Sundresses.
Men saluting
As they pass each other.
Kids saluting everyone.
Another Air Show
On a blistering day.
Families gathered
At the Air Force Base.
