Day and Night
Day and Night are married right, as sure as the path of the sun. From Bottle in the River.

Day and Night

There she is, bright and clear.
Living light and bright, no fear.
Here he comes, and they meet,
Joining hands in the dusk.

Now he lives, light is gone.
Working towards another dawn.
Here she comes, and they meet,
One in the new sunrise.

She works hard to be in style.
He is waiting all the while.
She gets tired, and they meet,
Joining hands in the dusk.

He has secrets, hidden deep.
If she asked, he would not keep.
Ray of light, and they meet,
One in the new sunrise.

She works alone, you hear no moan.
Living, loving, left alone.
Mutual laughter, when they meet,
Joining hands in the dusk.

His work is done, it's time for fun.
Gloom is gone, glimmer of sun.
Gusts of grins, when they meet,
One in the new sunrise.

Day and Night are married right,
as sure as the Path of the Sun.
Spontaneous mission of separation gone,
when they meet in the dusk and the dawn.
