My calico days are gone,
just drifted memories in my mind, days of laughter, rhyme, and song. Brightly colored yards of flowers, and patterns of childhood ways; The dreams of my early hours. Calico memories I revere as being the woven structure I've based the rest of my years. The fabric remains the same, but the patterns all have changed, into a sophisticated rending game. -- written at age 14 ************************** Note: this poem is part of a collection, to read more please see: "poems from the past"
