Stay In Your Room

Stay in your room
Until it no longer matters
If you ever leave.
In that room that stinks
With filth; that room with no
Windows, no light, but hope.
And let not hope nor despair
Move you; they are both but
Fleeting shadows
That dance upon the walls
Daring you to believe
That either is true.
Stay in your room.
Let not a flicker
Of light nor the
Foreboding darkness
Excite you.
Do not run to the
Promise of day, neither
Shrink from the dread
Of night.
Stay in your room.
Sit in your shit!
Until it matters not
Whether there be
Shit or roses;
It all belongs to you.
Just be still, there in your room.
And when the fragrance
Of blossoms awakens you
From your sleep, then
And only then, shall you leave.
