Sharks!

Behind a mask of innocence,
sharks are lurking in the ocean,
trolling for those without defense.

Slyly engaging emotions
on an evil search for fresh meat,
they hunt prey with much devotion.

Taking great pains to be discreet,
they’re luring your sons and daughters
with pledges of a hidden treat.

In the shark-infested waters
of cyberspace, misconception
leads precious souls to the slaughter.

Razor-sharp teeth of deception
then hungrily shred those beset
by distorting their perception.

When lifeguards disregard the threat,
sharks will feed on the internet.
