Dive Deep
Sitting on the bottom of the ocean in a Submarine enduring a depth charge attack

Dive Deep

A short distance on the ocean's horizon.
A destroyer is sailing on the blue ocean.
We must dive deep to rest on the bottom.
To escape the destroyers depth charges.

So down we go to the dark depth below.
Deeper we sink to the abyss we go slow.
Now don't make a noise everybody, quiet.
On the bottom we sit in total black silence.

Very strange sounds around us we hear.
At this depth the pressure we must fear.
Suddenly a loud sound comes overhead.
The destroyer making a depth charge run.

Charges explode I hope the boat don't break.
We sit sweating on bottom awaiting our fate.
It seems like an eternity has come to pass.
The sound of the Destroyer is gone at last.

I wipe off the sweat and breathe a little relief.
Until the next time we are forced to dive deep.
As we move off the bottom for a new heading.
Old boat moves under pressure it's dreading.
