nobody likes to live in now;

It’s time to wish summer a goodbye
to settle with short days, nights high.
Outdoor fun-beaches, picnics, rides
enjoyable as they last, but the sides
of the fall show with a chill in the air
schools will start, supplies to prepare
with the memories of the summer fun

There is no creative thread in selecting the username-Shaila. No special reasons either. That's the name given to me at my marriage by my in-laws. Per Indian tradition, not only woman's maiden surname changes at marriage but her first name also changes. Lately it doenn't happen that often but when I got married, some 45 years ago it was normal. Usually the husband changes the name as a part of the ceremony but in my case my husband knew me at work for fa few years before our marriage, and he was used to my name and had no inclination to change it but my in-laws, the traditionalists, wouldn't buy that and changed my first name too. Nobody but them only used that name to address me. It disappeared with them and remained only in my memory.
Since I was trying something new by joining writing.com community, it just popped up in my mind and there it is -my username. With new name, I was hiding my identity and hoping to learn the new tricks in writing or presenting.
I'm still learning and have no regrets about the name or not even thought about it until now.

I found no spelling errors. However, you have quite a few sentences that need commas to make them read more smoothly and to be grammatically correct. However, I would rather not focus on that right now. It is such a beautiful story.

How well did you answer the question?
You did a superb job of answering the question. You taught me a lot about your culture that I did not know. I can't imagine having to learn a new frist name when I got married. But traditions are often very good. I like that your husband had no interest in changing your name.

Your name is creative in the fact that it is your own private little secret. No one knows you by that name except your husband and maybe a few relatives. You did a great job telling us about your name!
