Thief
An age old question when a relationship dies

        Thief

You stole my heart
Like a thief in the night
You left me alone
Without the will to fight

You stole my love
You won’t give it back
Everywhere I go
It’s cold and black

The sun once shined
When you looked me in the eyes
You said you loved me
Was it nothing but lies?

The light is now gone
Hidden from my sight
A shadow across my face
Darker than night

I am lost without you
My love, my life, my everything
No words to say
No song to sing

You stole my heart
You stole my life
Into my chest
You plunged your knife

I walk, I see
I hear, I breathe
Always do I wonder
Why did you leave?
