Interchange Your Thoughts…
What will it take to stop fighting?

Interchange Your Thoughts…

Peace on earth…
Good will toward men.
We’ve heard it time
And time again.
This thought’s expressed
But once a year,
From those who seek
Their Christmas cheer.

The thought is nice,
But not enough.
Excuse me if
I’m sounding gruff;
But passing thoughts
Aren’t helping Man!
We need some action –
And a plan.

The world’s great leaders
Must agree…
Communication
Is the key!
Man’s difference spreads
Both wide and far,
And thoughts within
Are most bizarre.

We simply don’t
Know all the facts
That start our nasty,
Brute attacks.
Some want the world
To be as one -
To force their rules
On everyone.

Our natures do
Not think alike,
When pushed too hard
Someone will strike.
A thoughtless plan
Endangers all…
Conceited minds
Will start the brawl.

Well, who is right?
And who is wrong?
This matters not
To - who is strong!
We all have rights
To our beliefs.
We must stand tall
And tell our chiefs…

To work for peace
Through talk and change,
And use their minds
To then exchange
Ideas for growth
Of Man’s respect;
To show some form
Of intellect!

All answers lie
Within the mind;
For ages now
We’ve sought to find
Solutions for
Man’s ills on Man -
But wars crop up…
And spoil the plan.

Perhaps one day
We’ll shed some light;
Find answers that
Might stop Man’s plight.
Until this time,
I urge of you…
Allow your voice
To speak your view.
