The Rose
Bruised and crushed by the storms of life. A rose comes forth.

Through your trials and heartaches

I have never let you go.

Your name is whispered on my lips

My child "I love you so."

When storms of tempest rage

Your heart is in despair,

You are hidden in my secret place

You have great solace there.

Your tears my child are precious

Each one close to my heart.

Forever you are mine my love

From me you'll never part.

Within the garden of your soul

Comes forth a lovely rose.

Its fragrance leaves a sweet refrain;

I love to watch you grow.
