fluffy white ceiling blankets
stark frosting covers

showers thaw the earth
nature stirs to life, to love
green buds burst, rejoice!

blistering sun bakes
chlor'nated water splashes
flowers sigh and lean

chill air shakes the trees
amber gems tumble to earth
pile in the yard, jump!
