Amanol was just able to dodge under the tree and he sweeped Kitty off her feet. She didn't have much time to phase. But before she could fall down she was able to roll the impact so that it didn't cause too much damage. But her ankles hurt a little and she was pretty annoyed.
"You got me," said Kitty.
"But it took me that long to hit you," replied Amanol. "But believe me it'll happen more often."
"I doubt it."
Kitty then quickly punched him in the gut. Then she punched him around his face. This would have sent anyone flying. But before Amanol could fall. Kitty grabbed him and threw him over her. He landed quite hard on the ground. But he was slowly able to get himself back up.
"Sorry nothing personal," said Kitty.
She then grabbed him by the legs and she began to swing him. His head was hitting all the trees at a very fast pace. He was suffering from some trauma before Kitty let go. But he still slowly got back up.
"Impressive," said Amanol.
"Sorry about this."
Kitty then kicked him straight into Amanol's chin and he went flying. He landed on the ground and he wasn't moving. The clock began to tick and it Amanol wasn't getting up.
After ten seconds he didn't get up and a bell rang. The jungle disappeared and Kitty could clearly see the crowd.
"Here is your winner," said the Announcer. "Kitty."
Kitty didn't know how to react. She felt glad that she had won. But she felt a little sick after knocking out Amanol. But she guessed that the Officials would just patch him back up.
Inside the fighter's lounge Hysteria had been watching. He seemed happy that Kitty had won. But then he looked at his forearm. He soon realised that he would never have that part of his body in flesh again.
"Way'd a go Kitty," he said.
"Yeah she's a good fighter," replied another Fighter. "I wouldn't want to meet her in a dark alley."
"Now you see why I don't disagree on her."
"You're a lucky guy. If you pick a fight you've always got insurance."
"Hey i don't need Kitty to fight my fights."
"Right whatever I'm just saying."
"Ok then. Just remember if you piss me off I'll get Kitty on you."
"I thought you said..."
"I'm kidding."
"Don't do that. She's scary."
"Believe me with kitty you've got nothing to fear. Except the chance that'll she'll sit on you."
"How can you live like that?"
"Another joke my friend."
"Ok."
Just then Kitty came in. Hysteria looked up at her and she could see her smiling. He gave her the thumbs up.
"Great job Kitty."
“Thanks,” said Kitty. She then squatted and gave him a huge hug. This lasted for a few seconds before she released him.
“You were great out there you really were,” replied Hysteria. “The bloke didn’t stand a chance against you.”
“He was pretty good.” She then cleared her throat a little. “So how’s your new arm?” She looked concerned.
“It’s great. Look at this.” He then twisted his wrist in a 360 degree turn. He seemed to be happy with it. “I couldn’t do this with an organic arm. Plus it’s a hell of a lot stronger then my old one.”
“You’re not going to transform yourself into some kind of mechanical monster are you?” By now she had stood back up to her full height.
“The arm might be great but I still prefer being organic.”
“Good because I’ve seen what happens to people who turn themselves into androids. Let’s just say I could have had better experiences with them.” She then felt her stomach a little. “Wanna get a bite to eat?”
“Yeah sure,” replied Hysteria.
“Great.” She then looked at him a little more. “If I get any bigger I can carry you in my hand. That’ll be so weird.”
“Yeah I know.” He then thought for a moment. “Where do we eat?”
“You have a point there. Where do we eat?”
“You want to eat?” replied a voice. Both Kitty and Hysteria turned around and saw another alien. This one had six arms and was green. “If you do then you’d like to go to the Food Extravaganza.”
“Yeah we do,” replied Kitty. “Where is it?”
“Follow the signs. And if you’re a fighter it’s all free.”
“That’s lucky.”
“That’s more then lucky,” replied Hysteria.
Kitty then picked up Hysteria and she smiled at him a little. He seemed to be the size of a Ken doll to her.
“Come on then Ken,” said Kitty.
“My name is not Ken,” replied Hysteria.
“Oh don’t be mad. I’m sure Barbie will be waiting for us.”
Kitty then began to walk away. She followed the signs for the Food Extravaganza. Hysteria didn’t really like being called Ken. But Kitty was only joking. She even put him on her shoulder.
“The world looks different from up here,” said Hysteria.
“Welcome to my world,” replied Kitty. And my world is slowly shrinking. But I stay normal.” She smiled a little.
“Well the universe is shrinking except you.”
“Guess I’m the lucky one.”
Kitty wasn’t looking where she was going and she hit her head on a sign. This caused her some pain. But then she looked at it. It was for the Food Extravaganza. It pointed to the right.
She followed the signs and eventually she reached a hall. In there there were several fighters. They were all getting food from a counter. Kitty licked her lips a little and Hysteria took off his helmet.
“Well we better get in line,” said Kitty.
“Who needs lines?”
“We do.”
She then joined the back of the line.
Eventually it got to Kitty and Hysteria’s turn to get food. They put their trays on the side and they began to look at the food that was there. There wasn’t anything that they recognised but they tried to see if there was anything that looked remotely delicious. But Kitty was having a little problem.
She looked towards the alien behind the counter and she cleared her throat. She was hoping that this would work.
“Do you have anything that’s suitable for vegetarians?” asked Kitty.
“Suitable for what?” replied the Alien.
“Do you have anything that doesn’t have meat in it?”
“Yeah sure.”
“Great I’ll take a lot of that.”
Just then some not so solid food went onto Kitty’s tray. It looked disgusting but she just kept going. Hysteria got his food and he seemed to be happy. They then found a giant size table and they sat at it. Unfortunately for Hysteria he was too small to sit at it properly but Kitty put him on the table itself.
“Thanks Kitty,” said Hysteria.
“You’re welcome,” replied Kitty. But then she looked at her food. “I hope this doesn’t taste as bad as it looks.”
“Well it was the only thing that didn’t have meat in it.”
“I guess so. But maybe it’s not all that bad.”
“Go on then try it.”
Kitty then swooped some of the food up in her spoon like tool and she put it in her mouth and swallowed. Hysteria was waiting there to see if she would either like it or try to hurl it back up.
“Well?” asked Hysteria.
“It’s interesting,” replied Kitty.
“In what way?”
“It doesn’t taste bad at all. In fact it kind of tastes like apples, oranges and bananas all put into one.”
“Really?”
“Yeah.” She then ate a little more. “Wait that one tasted more like a jelly donut then anything else.”
“Can I try?”
“Sure you don’t eat much.”
Hysteria then got some of it and he took a bite out of it. He could also taste something but not what Kitty had tasted.
“Tastes like chicken,” said Hysteria.
“Must have artificial tastes in this,” replied Kitty. “It must taste what the eater likes. I like fruit and donuts so it tasted like that. But because you liked chicken it decided to taste like that.”
“That’s cool.”
“I know but we better hurry up. I think our fights aren’t too far away.” She then began to dig in. “Bon appetite.”
As they began to eat their meals again they seemed to love every moment of it. But things would soon get a hell of a lot more difficult for the pair of them. They didn’t know what was coming.
As the tournament went on both Kitty and Hysteria were flying through their rounds. It seemed almost too easy for them. But for the both of them they had to concentrate on winning and nothing more. If they didn’t win they would be stranded on this station for God knows how long.
But eventually they had both gotten to the final. The first final had been won by fighter called Edwan. He had won the lightweight tournament. But now it was the turn for the middleweight title. This was Hysteria’s ground. But the fighter he was going against had won it three times in a row. He also had a couple of weapons with him. He almost seemed to be like Hysteria.
Kitty was a little worried about Hysteria. Although she knew that he could take care of himself she had been worried since he had his forearm sliced off. She gave him a big hug and she was truly concerned.
“Just promise you’ll be alright,” said Kitty.
“I’ll be fine,” replied Hysteria.
“I just don’t want you to lose anything else. If you’re getting beaten too much just throw the towel. I’ll just have to win my match.”
“Ok.”
Kitty then picked him up to give him one final hug. She then put him down and he made his way to the arena. He was ready for this match and he heard the entrance theme of his opponent. His name was Juntin. Like Hysteria he also wore armour. No one could see his face at all.
But then Hysteria’s entrance music came on and he began to walk down to the arena. This last match was going to be in a cage. Hysteria was a little nervous about this but he just entered.
“You’re the last guy?” asked Juntin.
“Yep that’s me,” replied Hysteria.
“This’ll be too easy.”
“I bet on it.”
Just then the bell rang and the two began to engage in combat. They both had blasters and they began to shoot each other. But they were both dodging. Hysteria began to throw a couple of his grenades. But Juntin was able to get past them all. He had rockets himself and he fired them at Hysteria. But like Juntin before him he was also dodging them with some ease.
“This is getting us nowhere,” said Juntin.
“So do you want to call it a draw?” replied Hysteria.
“No we fight with our bare hands. The only way to know who is truly the best of the best.”
“Fine by me.”
They both then began to remove their weapons and helmets. Juntin removed his mask to reveal a scarred face.
“You’re one ugly Mother *&^)%$,” said Hysteria.
“That’s it!” shouted Juntin.
He then ran at Hysteria and the two locked in combat. Kitty was worried from where she was watching. She hoped that Hysteria could still win without his weapons. But she had one thing that no one else had. She had faith.
“You can do it Hysteria,” said Kitty.
Kitty watched as Hysteria kept going. She wasn’t sure whether fighting hand to hand was a stroke of genius or an act of suicide. But she could hear the fighters around her rooting against him. She wanted to lash out at them but she knew that would cause more problems then solve.
“Come on Hysteria!” shouted Kitty.
“Nah he’s gonna get it,” replied a Fighter.
“No he’s going to win.”
Meanwhile inside the cage Hysteria was trying his best. But he was having some difficulties over coming his opponent. He was trying to use all the moves Kitty had taught him and a few others of his own.
“You are weak,” said Juntin.
“Just give me a minute,” replied Hysteria.
He then grabbed Juntin and he threw him at the cage. He then began to kick him a little and this was causing a lot of damage. The crowd were cheering for all the carnage. They were being thoroughly entertained.
“Kill him!” shouted a member of the crowd.
Inside the cage Hysteria was preparing to give him the finishing blow but then Juntin took out his legs and he fell to the ground. This causing Hysteria a lot of pain. Juntin looked down and seemingly smiled at Hysteria.
“Not so confident now,” said Juntin.
“I admit you’re good but I’m better,” replied Hysteria.
“I doubt it.”
“Remember never underestimate your opponent.”
Hysteria then gave him a thunderous uppercut. This sent Juntin flying and Hysteria moved in. He was trying to think of a good way to finish him off without permanently injuring him in anyway.
But Juntin was able to get up and he was lightning fast. He was about to do a grapple move to Hysteria. But Hysteria was able to grab his head and perform a stunner. This made the crowd cheer as Juntin was down for the count.
After the referee stopped counting the bell rang. Everyone cheered and Hysteria felt happy about himself.
“Here is your winner and the new Middleweight Champion Hysteria!” shouted the Ring Announcer.
In the fighter’s area Kitty was jumping with joy. She was happy to see that Hysteria had made it through in one piece. Some of the other fighters were a little disappointed but they didn’t say anything.
In the ring the Announcer went to Hysteria. He had his microphone ready and he wanted an interview.
“Hysteria you’re the new Middleweight champion,” said the Announcer. “How do you feel about your victory?”
“I’m knackered,” replied Hysteria.
“I’m not surprised.”
“Well if you want to see that again. Go onto my website.”
“Website?”
“Sure its www.Ijustkickedyourarse.com.”
“Thank you for that.”
Meanwhile in another part of the arena Kitty’s opponent was getting ready to face her. He was shadow boxing and he was also firing some weak energy beams from his hands. He seemed to be ready.
But then out of the shadows an alien came out. He was dressed in very fine clothes and he looked up at the giant being. He smiled at him a little and he was messing with something in his pocket.
“Hey there champ,” said the Alien.
“Not yet,” replied the Giant alien.
“You will be in half an hour Lione.”
“What do you want?”
“My boss wants you to make sure that your opponent doesn’t leave alive. If you catch my drift friend.”
“I don’t do that stuff.”
“We’ll make it worth it.” He then got some money from out of his pocket and he threw it up to Lione. “There’s more where that came from.”
“Hmm interesting.”
“You can have all you want. Just make sure that bitch dies. The boss seems to have a certain dislike of her.”
“It will be done.”
“That’s what I like to hear.”
Back with Kitty she had been reunited with Hysteria. She squatted down and gave him a very big hug. She was just happy to see him in one piece after a hellacious match. She was also happy that they had their money.
“I’m so glad you’re not hurt,” said Kitty.
“I am a little,” replied Hysteria.
“Where?”
“Don’t worry it’s not bad. You just relax.”
“I can’t I worry a little too much sometimes.”
“Then take a chill pill.”
“Not yet. I’ve still got my match to go.” She then sighed. “Well we have the money anyway I think I should just concede.”
“Well you could do.”
“Yeah I think I should.”
But then Kitty could see a lot of the fighters looking at her. They were all laughing at her and pointing.
“Oh she wants to quit,” said one fighter.
“Yeah I knew that she couldn’t do it,” replied another fighter.
“Hey we have all the money we need,” said Kitty. “Fighting now would be pointless. Besides I can’t be bothered.”
“Oh she’s scared.”
“No I’m not afraid.”
“Well you sure act like you are.”
“I’m definitely not scared. I just don’t want to do something that’ll be pointless.” She crossed her arms.
She then picked up Hysteria and she walked away. But she felt a little thirsty so she went to one of the bars for a drink with Hysteria.
Kitty was getting annoyed at this point so she just walked away to the bar. She had another drink and she didn’t notice the bar man slip something into it. It seemed to be some kind of pill and it almost instantly dissolved in her drink. She was none the wiser when she took some gulps.
But then kitty was overcome with what seemed to be rage. She felt invincible and she looked down to Hysteria.
“You know what?” said Kitty. “I may as well fight.”
“But I thought you said you didn’t want to fight,” replied Hysteria.
“That was then. This is now. I feel like I could beat anyone.”
“You sure that you want to do it?”
“Yes.”
“Alright go with it id you want.”
A few minutes later Kitty went on her way down to the arena. Everyone was cheering for her and she gave them all a little wave. She couldn’t wait to fight in the grand final. She seemed to be more eager then ever.
In the arena Lione was already there. He remembered what he had been told to do to Kitty. But he was a little curious to see why she seemed to be eager to fight when just minutes before she didn’t want to.
“Do you think you’re lucky punk?” asked Kitty.
“What?” replied Lione.
“Oh yeah you’ve never watched Dirty Harry.”
This time the arena turned into what seemed to be a ruined city. The crowd couldn’t see inside very well but there was a camera that was picking up everything. The crowd just watched it on the big screen.
Just then the bell went off and the two began to fight. Kitty began to use her superior fighting skills to tackle Lione. He soon retaliated with a burst of his energy. This knocked Kitty flying and she was able to phase herself through the buildings so that it didn’t cause her any damage. It also gave her a moment to recover.
But no sooner had she gotten back up to her feet she was hit by a beam of pure energy and at first she could feel pain.
“Give up now,” said Lione.
“No I’m still fighting,” replied Kitty.
But then Lione noticed something. Kitty seemed to be growing fast. He stopped the energy flow but she continued to grow. He watched as she grew even larger. Even she didn’t know what exactly was happening to her.
Hysteria was watching what was happening from the fighters’ area. He could tell that this was definitely bad.
“No this can’t be happening,” said Hysteria.
But Kitty kept growing. Everyone in the crowd stared at the screen in amazement over what was happening. But Kitty seemingly stopped growing at around 166 feet tall. Lione only came up to her knee.
“Crap!” she shouted.
“Right I’m out of here,” replied Lione.
But no sooner had he tried to run Kitty grabbed him with both hands and brought him up to her level.
“Where do you think you’re going?” she asked.
Kitty then raised Lione up to her level. She gave him an evil smile and she could see that he was afraid.
“Well you didn’t expect this,” said Kitty.
“Please they made me,” replied Lione.
“Who made you?”
“The mafia they wanted me to kill you.”
“And you actually went and did it.”
“Please you don’t understand. To these people you can’t say no. Please I had no choice. Don’t kill me.”
“You’re lucky that I don’t kill unless I have absolutely no choice.”
She then slammed him onto the ground and it instantly knocked him out. Kitty stood back up to her full height and the crowd began to gasp at her sheer size. She began to walk back to the entrance when she was announced as the winner.
But then by her foot she saw someone with a microphone. He looked like a newsreader but he was trying to get her attention.
“Kitty down here,” he said.
“What?” replied Kitty.
“We were just wondering how you felt about being the heavyweight champion.” Without warning he was picked up by Kitty and quickly brought up to her level. “Care to share a few words?”
“Yes I would. I’ve got unfinished business to attend to right now. I’ll enjoy my winnings when I’m finished.”
“Err alright.”
“Now if you excuse me I have to pick up my friend.”
She then put him on the ground and she made her way to the fighter’s lounge window. She could see Hysteria there and she phased her hand through the window and she picked him up.
“Kitty you’re…” said Hysteria.
“Huge?” replied Kitty.
“No gigantic. You’re bigger then Giant-Man or whatever the hell he calls himself nowadays.”
“And I’m still growing don’t forget.”
“And we can get off this station.”
“Not yet. As I said I have unfinished business to deal with. And now that I’m even bigger I can deal with it.”
“Want my help?”
“Never hurts to have a little support.”
Kitty then went to walk out of the arena. People began to panic as they thought that she was going to step on them. But when her foot came down she phased it through them harmlessly. There were a few screams but when her foot came up everyone could see that she had done no damage.
“Err Kitty where are we going?” asked Hysteria.
“I’m just going to say hello to a little friend of mine,” replied Kitty. “I’m making sure that no one has to live under fear here.”
“I didn’t know you were a poet.” Kitty then looked at him and he instantly knew that she didn’t think it was funny. “Sorry about that.”
“Do you even know where you’re going?” asked Hysteria.
“Yes and no,” replied Kitty.
“So what do you expect to do about that?”
“That’s why I have you. That helmet of yours has X-Ray vision doesn’t it?”
“Well yeah.”
“Then that’s all I need. Just switch it on for now and I’ll tell you what to do next a little later.” She continued to walk on.
“Ok.” Hysteria switched his helmet to X-Ray vision. He was amazed to see the skeletons of the aliens that were below him. He even looked at Kitty and he could see her skeleton. He thought about decreasing the power of the X-Ray so that it could only see through clothes.
“Don’t you dare,” said Kitty.
“What?” replied Hysteria.
“I know what you were going to do.”
“You completely misjudge me.”
“I better be. If there’s one thing I really don’t like and that’s a pervert.”
“I’ll keep that in mind.”
Kitty walked for a few more minutes before reaching a building that seemed very familiar to her. She gave Hysteria a quick look and she pointed towards the building. He seemed to know what to do.
“What am I suppose to be seeing here?” asked Hysteria.
“Is there a room encased with a strange metal?” replied Kitty.
“Let me check.” He then began to look into the building. “Yeah.”
“And are there any aliens carrying firearms?”
“Hang on.” he checked over this again. “Yep.”
“Good just one last one. Is there a guy in there that is extremely overweight?”
“Yeah I can see one.”
“Good now it’s my turn.”
Kitty then phased her head through the building to take a look inside. She could see some of the mobsters that had imprisoned her before. This was when she realised that she was in the right place.
“Shoot her!” shouted a random alien.
Kitty could see that they began to fire at her. She just phased through it and took her head out of the building. She looked to Hysteria.
“Wanna have some fun?” she asked.
“Yep,” replied Hysteria.
“Fancy taking those guys out for me please?”
“Anything for a lady.”
Kitty then took Hysteria off her shoulder and phased him through the wall. He could see a few of the aliens right in front of him. For normal people this would have been a problem. But for him it was no problem at all.
“Hey guys,” said Hysteria. “Don’t you think the Joker laughs at you?”
He then shot one of the aliens with a stun blast. He went down to the ground and his body began to shake.
“Do you feel Lucky punks?”
They went to fire at him but Hysteria just shot two more of them.
“This was too easy,” said Hysteria. He then blew on the barrel of his pistol and put it back in its holder.
But before he knew it Kitty had grabbed him and took him back out of the building. He was a little shocked at first. But then she brought him out of the building safely. But he was a little confused.
“What was the point of all that?” he asked.
“I just wanted to see how tough they were,” replied Kitty. “Now that I know you took them down that easily I know they’ll be a piece of cake.”
“Are you saying I’m weak?”
“Not at all. I’m just saying I’m probably stronger then you.”
“Soon we’ll find that out. But for now we’ll just go by that assumption.”
“Good. But this could get messy.”
Kitty then punched through the glass of the windows. The glass was going into her hand but her skin was so thick that it couldn’t pierce it. It just bounced off and it was causing a lot of damage.
Inside Kitty and Hysteria could see aliens running around like headless chickens. This made Kitty happy to see that she was causing them misery after what they put her through. A few of them tried to fire at her but she harmlessly phased through them as if they were nothing.
“Pathetic,” said Kitty.
She then saw someone she recognised. It was the boss of this gang. Without hesitation she grabbed him and brought him up to her level. She let Hysteria loose on the other aliens so that he could keep them occupied while kitty dealt with their boss.
“So you’re the guy who’s causing so much trouble,” said Kitty. “You were a lot taller when I last saw you.”
“Please don’t hurt me,” replied the Boss.
“Now why would I do something like that? Oh yeah because you took me prisoner and you made me grow even larger.”
“I’m sorry I was just having a joke.”
“Well it certainly isn’t funny.” The boss was trying to wriggle out of Kitty’s hand but she just chuckled. “Listen bub if you get out of my hand you’re going to have a good 100+ foot drop and I doubt you could survive that.”
“No I can’t.”
“But I could take you prisoner like you did me.”
“No I’ll do anything.”
“Anything you say?”
“Yes anything.”
“How about this. You dissolve your little gang and organisation and you let these people live in piece.”
“What?”
“That’s my terms. And if I hear you’re up to your old tricks again. I’ll be back and I won’t be as gentle.”
“Ok I’ll do it.”
“Good. And if you don’t mind get me something to eat. I could eat a whole farm right now.” She then smiled a little.
“Ok I’ll arrange something.”
“Thank you.”
An hour later kitty was being treated with as much food as she could eat. Aliens were watching as she ate. Hysteria was also eating to his heart’s content. The leader of the mob had done all this for them. He wanted to get into their good books right now. Kitty was enjoying herself greatly.
“This is some good stuff,” said Kitty.
“And we have the nice mob leader to thank for this,” replied Hysteria.
“I know. It was very nice of him.” She then felt her stomach. “I can’t believe I’m saying this but I’m actually full.”
“I think we should get a move on.”
“Did you get our engine?”
“Yep its installed and everything. Now all we need to do is get you into the ship. That might be a little harder now.”
“No problem.” She then took one more piece of food and she ate it. “But I’ve just got to pay one more visit to our friend.”
“Fine meet me at Barricade.”
“Got it.”
Kitty then stood up and she carefully walked towards where the mob leader was. She gently picked him up and she tried to give him a little smile. But he was still very afraid of her.
“Don’t worry I’m just here to say goodbye,” said Kitty.
“Oh thank you,” replied the Mob Leader. He was still in fear.
“But don’t forget what I told you.”
“I won’t I promise.”
“Good. Now I’ll see you later.”
Kitty then put him on the ground and she made her way back to the Barricade. She saw Hysteria waiting for her there. She saw that the ship seemed a lot smaller since the last time she saw it. Most things were.
“Ok now how are you going to get in there?” asked Hysteria.
“Easy,” replied Kitty.
She then concentrated and she began to phase herself through the ship and into the cargo bay. It seemed a lot smaller now and she had some trouble trying to fit into it. But it didn’t take her too long to do this. Hysteria went inside and took a look at her. She didn’t seem to be too happy.
“Well you’re right you were able to fit,” said Hysteria.
“Just get us out of here,” replied Kitty.
“Yes captain.”
“No need for sarcasm.”
“Ok.”
Hysteria then went to the bridge and he began to power up the ship. It went into the air and flew away from the space station. Kitty was glad to get away and she was hoping that she would never go back. But for now she just lay there and began to think a little. There wasn’t much room for her to grow.
“Maybe I should expand the bay a little,” said kitty. “Knock down a few walls here and there and it’ll be perfect.” She then pressed a button on the wall. “Hey Hysteria can you put a movie on?”
“What do you have in mind?” replied Hysteria.
A few days had past since Kitty and Hysteria left the space station. Kitty had grown a little bigger and she was feeling more and more cramped with each passing hour. But they were going through one more problem. The ship was running out of fuel and needed to land soon to refuel.
A little later Hysteria went into the cargo hold to see Kitty. She was trying to make herself comfortable. But this was fairly difficult with her ever increasing size. She tried to smile a little at Hysteria.
“What’s up?” asked Kitty.
“Bad news,” replied Hysteria.
“We’re not damaged are we?”
“No we just need some more fuel. I’ve already plotted a course to the nearest populated planet. We’ll be landed in no time and you’ll have plenty of space to stretch those legs of yours.”
“Great do you know how cramped it is here?”
“I can only imagine.”
A few minutes later they landed on the planet. The terrain around them seemed to be unfamiliar. They seemed to be in some kind of forest. The trees there were green and they towered above Kitty. Hysteria sat on her shoulder and began to scan the area for any signs of life.
“Got anything?” asked Kitty.
“Nope there’s nothing as far as I can see,” replied Hysteria.
“Maybe there’s civilization past this forest.”
Kitty then began to walk through the trees. Many of them she just phased through them as if they were nothing. She walked for what seemed to be miles but she couldn’t seem to find any civilization and worse still it was beginning to get dark.
“I think this planet doesn’t have anyone,” said Kitty.
“I did check,” replied Hysteria. “There’s definitely a large population of intelligent life somewhere around here.”
Just then they began to feel the ground shake. Kitty fell over. But Hysteria used his jetpack to keep himself above the ground. But this didn’t seem to be a normal earthquake. It seemed to be more like footsteps.
Just above them they saw what seemed to be a humanoid girl. But she was easily 1500 feet tall. Kitty was in completely disbelief. Compared to this girl she was only an inch tall.
“This isn’t good,” said Hysteria.
“A cute little dolly,” replied the Girl. She then grabbed Kitty and lifted her up in the air. Kitty tried to struggle.
“I am not a doll,” said Kitty.
“She talks too.”
Kitty tried to phase her way through the girl’s hand. But for some reason she couldn’t do it. She strained herself but she soon admitted defeat. But she looked down and saw Hysteria trying to get to her. He shot the girl’s hand but she didn’t feel it whatsoever. She just began to walk away.
“I’m taking you home,” she said.
“Oh great,” replied Kitty.
“Just wait to you see your new friends.”
“I can hardly wait.”
Kitty had stopped trying to struggle since she knew that she couldn’t escape. For some reason the little girl’s hand was too dense for her phase through. But she was also worried about Hysteria since on this planet he was extremely small. But she also had some worries for herself since she didn’t know where she was going.
They eventually came to a large house and the Little Girl took Kitty upstairs to a room full of toys and she put Kitty down on top of a table and she gave her a cheerful smile. Kitty herself was still worried.
“You know I’m going to escape,” said Kitty.
“No you won’t dolly,” replied the little Girl.
“I told you I’m not a doll. I’m a living thing.”
“But you’re so small.”
“Actually I’m a giant.”
“You’re no giant.”
“I am to my species.”
“Well to me you’re a dolly.” She then turned away for a moment and picked something up. She put it down next to kitty and she saw that it was a doll house. “This is your new home from now on.”
“I’m not going to stay for very long.”
“You’re going to stay with me forever and ever.”
“I don’t think so somehow.”
“You’re not being very nice.”
“Well I really don’t appreciate being kidnapped and falsely imprisoned.” She then folded her arms.
Meanwhile just outside the house Hysteria had just reached it. It was the size of a mountain but all he could think about was saving Kitty. He flew up to the window and took a look inside. He could see the giant girl and Kitty. He could tell that Kitty wasn’t too happy.
“Ok now to play hero,” he said.
He then used a blowtorch in his arm to begin to cut through the glass. It was a lot thicker then he had expected but he seemed. No one noticed him because he was extremely small compared to them.
While Hysteria was cutting through Kitty had no choice but to go inside the house. Everything was still huge compared to her. She felt like a midget in the house. But she was beginning to accept that she would probably be there for a while. She was already planning her form of escape although it would take her some time. She was still growing nonetheless. She would eventually become too big for house and then bigger then the species on this planet. But she knew that this was going to take a very long time. So for now she had to accept that she would be a doll.
“I wonder where Hysteria is now,” thought Kitty. “He’s probably fighting for his life against bugs.”
Meanwhile Hysteria was still cutting through the glass. He was amazed to see how fats he was doing it. But then he began to hear something behind him. He turned around and saw what seemed to be a fly. It was the size of an elephant. He had seen the movie “The Fly” and he knew how they ate.
“Oh bloody hell,” he said.
He then began to shoot at the fly.
The fly was able to fly past these shots and it got closer to Hysteria. He was starting to run out of options. As a last resort he had to get a grenade and threw it at the fly. It hit it with pinpoint accuracy and the fly flew away. Hysteria gave out a sigh of relief and he continued to cut through the window.
Meanwhile inside Kitty was still trying to get use to everything around her. She had just gotten use to being a giant in a tiny world. But now she was having to get use to being tiny in a giant world. The giant girl was constantly watching her and smiling at her. Kitty just looked up at her.
“Can I have some privacy please?” asked Kitty.
“But you’re so cute,” replied the Little Girl. “I’m going to call you cutey.”
“My name is Kitty.”
“But Cutey sounds so much better.”
“But my name is Kitty. Not Cutey, just Kitty.”
“Fine have it like that.”
“Danni are you up there?” shouted a voice.
The little girl then turned towards her door. “Yes Mommy,” replied the Little Girl.
“Good. Dinner’s ready in 10 minutes.”
“Ok.”
Those ten minutes soon past and the Little Girl picked up Kitty and took her downstairs to the kitchen. It was then that Hysteria cut through the glass and got into the room. But he saw that Danni and Kitty weren’t there.
“God Damn it,” he said.
As Danni took Kitty downstairs she saw a woman who was a lot taller then Danni. She seemed to be a lot older then her as well. She guessed that this woman was the mother of Danni.
Danni’s mother looked at Kitty in her daughter’s hand. She looked at her a little and she looked back at Danni.
“Is that a new doll you’ve got there?” she asked.
“I am not a doll,” replied Kitty.
The giant woman stood still in amazement for a moment. She picked Kitty out of Danni’s hand and she brought her up closer to her eye level. Kitty felt even smaller now then before.
“You’re alive?” asked Danni’s Mother.
“Yes I’m alive,” replied Kitty.
“But you’re so small. Are you some sort genetic experiment gone or something like that?”
“Well in a way yes. I’m a giant.”
The giant woman then laughed and Kitty crossed her arms. “That’s a good one.”
“But I am a giant.”
“I’m sorry to break it to you but you’re no giant.”
“I am to my own species.”
“Species?”
“Yes I’m what you might call an alien.”
“Wow a real life alien. If you’re a giant to your species I’d hate to see how small the normal ones are. At least you’ve got some strength compared to them.”
“That’s not the worst of it. I’m still growing.”
“You’re still growing?” asked the Giant Woman.
“Yeah but it’s slow,” replied Kitty. “But soon enough I’ll be your size. Then after that I’d probably become a giant compared to you.”
“Amazing. We have to tell the tabloids.”
“No I want to keep myself secret. If your people are anything like mine then I don’t want to be discovered.”
“But think of the opportunities. You could be a star.”
“But then I might get taken away to be experimented. And besides I’m still looking for my friend.”
Meanwhile not too far away Hysteria had gotten to the kitchen. It had been a journey and a half for him. But his was happy to see his giant size friend again. But he could see that she was in the grasp of the giant woman. He thought that she was in trouble and so he began to fly towards her.
“Let her go!” he shouted.
But he wasn’t noticed by the other women. Kitty had heard him but then a huge hand came in front of him and he hit it. He began to fall to the ground and Danni seemed to be happy with what she had done.
“Got him,” she said.
“No that’s my friend,” replied Kitty.
Kitty was in some panic. But Hysteria wasn’t unconscious. He was able to use the last fuel in his jetpack to put him safely on the ground. But no sooner had he got there a huge hand came down and picked him up. He struggled a little but he couldn’t get himself free. Once more it was Danni.
“He’s so tiny” she said.
“Can I have him please?” replied Kitty. “I think he’d feel safer.”
Danni then passed Hysteria to Kitty. He was extremely pleased to see her and he tried to give her a hug. But it was extremely difficult for him.
“Are you alright?” asked Hysteria.
“I’m as alright as I’ll ever be,” replied Kitty. “How are you anyway? That must have really hurt you.”
“Only my pride, and my ribs and probably my spleen.”
“Don’t worry you’re safe.”
“Relatively safe.”
“Yes.”
Kitty then looked at the giant woman. She was a little unsure what to do. But she tried to smile at her.
“Please make sure we’re not discovered,” said Kitty.
“I’ll try,” replied the Giant Woman.
“Thank you very much.”
“Now are you hungry.”
“Yes very.”
“Then have a little something to eat.”
The giant woman and her daughter sat down at the table and they prepared to have something to eat. Kitty and Hysteria looked at the food and they thought it looked delicious.
“Tuck in,” said Kitty.
They both then began to eat the food. It was easily the size of a mountain to them but they didn’t care. They were just extremely hungry. They just continued to gobble up the food in quick haste.
“This is pretty good,” said Hysteria. “What is it?”
“As long as it’s not meat I don’t care,” replied Kitty.
After they had eaten their fill the pair stopped eating. They were completely stuffed and Hysteria had to undo his suit a little.
“Better not eat anymore or else I won’t be able to fit into my suit,” said Hysteria. He then belched.
“Manners,” replied Kitty.
“Sorry.”
“What did he just do?” asked the Giant-Woman.
“He just burped that’s all.”
“Interesting. What’s a burp?”
“You guys don’t burp?” The giant woman and Danni looked at Kitty confusingly. “Ok maybe you guys haven’t. It’s a way that our bodies can get rid of excess gas. It’s quite disgusting actually.”
“I think its cool,” replied Hysteria.
“Yeah right.” She then picked him up and rested him in her hand. “Just remember every time you burp you lose a limb.”
“What?”
“Just remember not to do it again.”
“What if I can’t help it?”
“You have to help it.”
Suddenly there was a knock at the door. The Giant Woman got up and answered the door. Danni did her best to hide the pair in hopes that they wouldn’t be found. It was going to be a little hectic.
The Giant Woman opened the door to see a man there. He was wearing all black and he had sun glasses. He also had a briefcase with him.
“Are you Sharon Dempsey?” he asked.
“Yes,” replied Sharon.
“You have something that belongs to us.”
“But who are you?”
“That is best unknown for now.”
“No you tell me right now.”
She then began to feel electricity through her body. She quickly went down to the ground unconscious but alive. He then went inside and saw Danni there. She was very worried and she looked up at him.
“Where are they?” he asked.
“Where are who?” replied Danni.
“Don’t play dumb with me kid. I’m after the aliens.”
“They’re on TV all the time.”
“You’re getting wise with me kid?”
“No not really.”
“Listen to me give me the aliens peacefully or I can take them by force.”
“You’d hurt a child? You’re not a very nice man.”
“You’re right I’m not a very nice man,” said the Man. “I think I should go home and rethink my life.”
“Really?” replied Danni.
“No.”
He then got out a tazer and he put it to Danni’s neck. This knocked her out and he began to look for Kitty and Hysteria. A couple of other men and women also began to search. Kitty and Hysteria were hiding behind a cupboard. Hysteria was in Kitty’s hand and she was constantly watching them. She could see that a few of them were getting close to them and Kitty was beginning to think. She came up with an idea to hide Hysteria. She unzipped the top art of her costume.
“What are you doing?” asked Hysteria.
“Saving you,” replied Kitty. She then put him in her chest and she zipped it back up. “Not a single word.”
Just then the cupboard door opened and a woman saw them. She was just about to grab them.
“I found them,” she said.
Kitty then concentrated as much as she could and she phased herself through the cupboard onto the ground. She then began to run as other agents tried to catch her. Although they were a lot bigger then her she was able to dodge out of the way. But eventually one of them put a glass cup over her. She tried to phase through it but like before she couldn’t. She had tired herself out through running.
“We got her,” said a man.
“Good,” replied another.
“What do we do about the civilians?”
“Leave them there.”
They then put Kitty into a special energy cage and they took hr away. They weren’t aware that hysteria was hiding. She unzipped the top of her costume and looked at him. He looked back up at hr.
“Comfy in there?” she asked.
“Surprisingly,” replied Hysteria. “And you’re not wearing a bra.”
“When you can find a bra my size then I’ll wear it. But since I don’t I’m having to put up with it.”
“So what’s the plan?”
“There’s some small gaps in this energy field. Way too small for me to fit through. But they’re big enough for you.”
“Then what?”
“Find someway of getting me free. But if you can’t go back to the Barricade and leave this planet.”
“Not without you.”
“Don’t worry about me. Remember I’m a big girl now.”
“Ok.”
The next thing Kitty knew she was being put into a vehicle. It seemed to be high tech and the men and women in it seemed to be working in secrecy. She couldn’t release Hysteria yet so she zipped her costume back up.
“We got us an alien,” said one woman.
“A lot smaller then I expected,” replied another.
“Give me some time and I’ll soon grow up to your expectations,” said Kitty. She laughed a little.
But then the journey suddenly stopped and everyone got out of car. One of the women picked up the cage with Kitty inside. She could feel Hysteria wriggling a little so she gave him a little poke.
“Cut it out,” she said.
“Sorry,” replied Hysteria.
Eventually they were put down on a table and a man with what seemed to be a magnifying glass looked at them. He seemed to be some kind of scientist and he examined Kitty’s body.
“Do you mind?” she asked.
“Not really no,” replied the Scientist. “For an alien you’re pretty darn cute.”
“Before you ask anything I’m already spoken for.”
“Such a shame.” He then chuckled a little. “Time for your physical.”
“No I refuse.”
“Refusing isn’t an option my dear.”
“Too bad because I’ve chosen it.”
“We’ll soon fix that.”
He then opened the door and went to grab Kitty. She concentrated and she was able to phase through his hand. She made her way out of the cage and hopefully towards freedom.
But there were several agents there trying to stop her. A couple tried to grab her but she would dodge out of the way. But then an agent put a wall in front of her. She had very little time to react and she phased through it. But this took the last out of her and she fell to the ground.
“Put her back in,” said an Agent.
“Yes sir,” replied another.
Kitty was soon put back into her cage. She could barely move. But she was able to unzip the top part of her costume and she let Hysteria out.
“Ok maybe my last escape plan didn’t work,” said Kitty.
“What’s the new plan then?” replied Hysteria.
“You can get out between the energy beams. I want you to get out and when everyone is almost gone release me from this cage.”
“How?”
“Just use that suit of yours to pick the lock or something.”
“Oh right.”
“Good luck.”
Hysteria then flew towards the energy beams and he was able to get himself between them. He felt a little bad for leaving Kitty. But for now he had to hide. A hiding place for him wasn’t too particularly difficult. But he saw the scientist return so he kept his head low.
“We won’t be trying anything like that again,” said the Scientist.
“Oh go jump off a bridge,” replied Kitty.
“Attitude little lady.”
“I don’t care.”
Kitty was then taken out of her cage and this time she didn’t struggle.
“Now let’s take these clothes off so we can begin the tests,” said the Scientists. He then went to take off Kitty’s clothes but she slapped his hand.
“The clothes stay on me,” replied Kitty.
“That wasn’t a request. It was a demand.”
“I don’t care they’re staying on whether you like it or not.”
But before Kitty could say anything else the Scientist continued to take her clothes off. He was able to unzip her costume and take it off. She was now just in her birthday suit and she was trying to cover herself.
“Now we can begin,” said the Scientist.
He then took her over to a machine and it made her float in mid-air. She was still trying to cover herself. But she could see some male agents smiling at her. She knew what they were thinking.
“Perverts,” she thought.
Hysteria wasn’t too far away and he could see everything that was happening. Although he enjoyed seeing a naked Kitty he still wanted to help her. But he needed to use stealth and make sure that they didn’t notice Kitty had gone missing.
One a computer screen the exact weight Kitty was came up. To normal humans it was several tons but to these giants it was barely anything. But they noticed something very odd about her weight.
“Look at this,” said the Scientist to an agent.
The agent then went to the screen and saw that both Kitty’s weight and height were very slowly increasing.
“What does this mean?” replied the Agent.
“It means our little friend is growing.”
“Can we stop it?”
“I’m afraid not. One day she’ll be as big as us and then she keep growing until she’s a giant.”
“We can’t let that happen.”
“I know we’ll have to terminate her before she becomes a threat.”
Kitty overheard what they were saying and she began to panic a little. She tried to move but she was still floating and completely immobile. She gave out a small sigh but then she fell to the ground and this caused her some pain. She then saw Hysteria coming towards her.
“You took your time,” said Kitty.
“Sorry I was just enjoying the view,” replied Hysteria.
“Not you too.”
“Now let’s get out of here.”
“I need my clothes first.”
“That might be a little difficult.”
“I’m not going around in my birthday suit.”
Kitty then stood up and began to run away. She grabbed Hysteria and she tried to make sure that no one saw her escape. But seconds later the scientist looked into the machine and saw that she was gone.
“She’s escaped again,” said the Scientist.
“They never learn,” replied an Agent.
Everyone began to look for her.
As everyone began to look for Kitty. She was keeping out of sight as best as she could. But this was quite difficult for her. She looked up and saw her clothes on a table. She knew that if she tried to go for them she would very likely get caught again. The last thing she wanted was to be tested again.
“Hysteria can you get my clothes?” asked Kitty.
“It’ll be difficult but maybe,” replied Hysteria.
“Give it a shot. You’re too small for them to see.”
“Ok. Just wait here.”
Hysteria then flew out of Kitty’s hands and he went up to where her costume was. He was having to hold onto them and fly down. The clothes were going to be very heavy but he just gave out a sigh.
“Here goes nothing,” he said.
He then began to fly down towards where Kitty was. She was constantly watching him in case anything happened to him. By luck no one was looking in their direction. He slowly came down towards her. But he was struggling to keep a hold of the clothes. They were really straining him.
“Come on hysteria you can do it,” said Kitty.
“Almost there,” replied Hysteria.
It took him another couple of seconds but he was able to get down to Kitty. He was out of breath. But Kitty picked him up.
“Thank you.” She then gave him a hug. This lasted a couple of seconds but then she put him down and put her clothes on. She had grown slightly since she had last put them on. But thankfully it expanded to fit her. “That’s better.”
“What now?”
“Now we get the hell out of here and back to the ship.”
“Sounds good to me. But we can’t just walk there. It’s too bloody far and by the time we get there you might be too big to fit in it.”
“Damn it you’re right. At the rate I’m growing I could be over 100 feet tall by the time we get there.”
“Maybe there’s a way we can get there fast.”
“How?”
“Believe me I have a cunning plan.”
As the people continued to search for Kitty she was in fact making her way to the car that they had travelled in. With some of Kitty’s restored strength she was able to phase both her and Hysteria into the vehicle. But they noticed something very odd. There was no steering wheel or anything to make the car move.
“How do they move this thing?” asked Kitty. “There’s no driving controls.”
“I don’t think they need them,” replied Hysteria. He then flew up to the dashboard and there was a computer there. “Look that’s how they do it.”
“What?”
“They must type in where they have to go and the car just takes them there. Too bad we can’t do that on Earth.”
“Get us out of here.”
“I can’t its too big for me. But you can do it.”
“But how do I get up there.”
“I don’t know.”
“I read your profile,” said Hysteria. “You can use your powers to walk on air. Am I right?”
“Yes but I’ve never tried it at this size,” replied Kitty.
“You’ve probably never attempted to sing the entire Queen’s Greatest Hits volume one at that size. It’s about the best chance we’ve got.”
“Ok I’ll give it a try.”
Kitty then began to concentrate and she began to walk on air. She stepped up it as if she was walking up a set of invisible stairs. Hysteria just looked in amazement. He seemed to be happy with what was happening.
“You’re doing it Kitty,” he said.
“Please don’t talk I need to concentrate,” replied Kitty.
“Sorry.”
It didn’t take Kitty too long to get up the controls. She was completely out of breath by then. She needed to rest for as minute before she could even attempt to do anything else. But Hysteria began to look at the controls.
“Walking in air is a lot harder then it looks,” said Kitty.
“We better get going,” replied Hysteria.
“Oh right. But how does this thing work out.”
“Come one we both have genius level surely we can work it out.”
But then they both could hear people talking outside the car. If they didn’t do something fast they would be captured again. Hysteria looked at the computer a little and a map came up.
He then pressed on a point on the map and the car began to move. It was slow at first but then it began to pick up speed. Both of the heroes inside were happy to be getting away from them.
“Let’s hope this takes us back to the ship,” said Hysteria.
“I just want to get off this planet,” replied Kitty. “I’ve gotten use to seeing everything smaller then me. But it’s a little to be 70 feet tall and still feel like a doll.” She then sighed a little.
“Well don’ worry I’ll make sure the next place we go won’t be home to giants.”
“The next stop is Earth right?”
“Well not quite.”
“How far are we away?”
“Thankfully not too far.”
But then Hysteria could hear another car behind them. He flew up to the window and looked outside. There he saw an identical car following them. He soon realized what it all meant.
“I wonder if this thing has a manual drive?” he said to Kitty.
“I don’t know why?” replied Kitty.
“Because we’re being followed.”
“Crap we’ve gotta lose them.”
“My thoughts exactly.” He then flew down to the computer. “Have you ever played GTA San Andreas?”
“No.”
“Then I’ll drive.”
Hysteria began to set the car into manual controls.
When the car was in manual control hysteria plugged what seemed to be a normal size game controller into the computer. Kitty was a little surprised to see him do this. But on the computer screen was a view of the car from above. It looked like it was in some kind of game.
“How did you do that?” asked Kitty.
“Simple really,” replied Hysteria. “Since none of us are big enough to drive this we’ll just have to do it this way. And I suggest that you put on a seat belt. This could be a bumpy ride.”
Kitty then sat back as Hysteria drove the car using the controller. He felt like he was playing a game But he could see the other car behind them. He was a little nervous but he was able to keep his cool long enough.
“Take some of this.”
He then made a sudden stop and the cars following him went straight past. He then turned around to get some distance away from them. But Kitty didn’t like what was going on.
“You’re going the wrong way,” said Kitty.
“I know,” replied Hysteria. “I’m seeing if I can find an alternate route.”
“And if you can’t.”
“Then we’ll just have to try and get back.”
Just then they heard a gun shot. Hysteria knew that the other cars were firing at them. His weapons were powerful but he knew that they wouldn’t make a dent in these giant size juggernauts. But he had an idea.
“Kitty take my jetpack off,” said Hysteria.
“How?” replied Kitty.
“Pull it now.”
She did and she pulled it off very easily. “What now.”
“Now aim the rocket towards the tyres of the other car.”
Kitty was able to phase herself through the car door and aim the rocket towards the tyres. She didn’t know what was going to happen. But Hysteria pressed a button on his suit and the rocket fired.
The rocket hit the tyres and blew one of them up. The car began to lose control and they had to stop. Kitty got herself back in and she gave out a sigh. But she could see one more car following them.
“We’ve still got company,” said Kitty.
“Crap,” replied Hysteria.
“Got anymore rockets.”
“Yes but they’re on the ship.”
“Great. So what now?”
“Prayer to a higher power.”
Hysteria tried all he could to lose the other car. But it wouldn’t give up following them. He was wondering if the car was automatically following them. That would mean that they could never escape unless he used his brains.
He then plugged in his suit to the computer and he seemed to deactivate what seemed to be a tracking device. After that they saw the car behind them stop and he seemed to be happy.
“Done and dusted.”
“That was close,” said Kitty.
“Too close for comfort,” replied Hysteria. “Now using this I might just be able to find the Barricade.”
“Please do. I want to get off this planet.”
Inside his helmet Hysteria could see everything inside the computer. He began to pinpoint the exact location of the Barricade. It took him a few minutes but he was able to do it.
“I found it,” said Hysteria.
“Can you get us there?” replied Kitty.
“Yes.”
“Then get us there please.”
“You don’t have to tell me twice.”
The car then went full speed towards where the Barricade was. He didn’t know it could go that fast and he was struggling to stay where he was. It felt like a ship going into light speed.
“Slow it down,” said Kitty.
“I can’t help it,” replied Hysteria. “It’s so beautiful.”
But then suddenly the car stopped. Hysteria was able to go flying but Kitty grabbed him before he got himself killed. She was deeply concerned over her friend and she brought him up to her level.
“Are you alright?” asked Kitty.
“Not really,” replied Hysteria. “It hurts.”
“Where?”
“My leg.”
“Let me take a look.” Kitty then began to stroke his leg.
“No wait it’s my chest.”
Kitty then began to stroke his chest. “Does that hurt?”
“No I’m being strangely turned on.”
Kitty then realised that Hysteria wasn’t hurt and he only did it so that she could do that. She quickly put him down and she began to get annoyed with him. He was laughing all the way.
“You better not do anything like that again,” said Kitty.
“It was only a joke,” replied Hysteria.
“Well I’m not laughing.”
“I found it funny.”
“Let me advise you something. Don’t make a woman who’s big enough use you as a baseball.”
“I’ll keep that in mind.”
“Good now let’s get out of here.”
Kitty then picked him up again and she was able to phase herself through the door. She landed on the ground softly and she saw the Barricade. It looked a little smaller then she remembered but she realised that it was still her that was growing.
“Well here we are,” said Hysteria.
“Do you think I’m too big to get in?” replied Kitty.
“Nah you should be fine.”
“Ok.”
Kitty phased herself into the Barricade. She was able to get herself into the cargo bay. But extremely cramped in there. But for now it would have to do. They’d either have to make her smaller or get a bigger ship.
Hysteria went to the cockpit and he began to lift the ship off. He thought that they were going to be home free. But on his scope he could see one of the agents. They had obviously tracked them down.
“Take some of this,” said Hysteria.
He activated the weapons and he began to fire at them. Normally he didn’t like to kill anyone but he knew that these giants would be able to take the pain. It would also keep them away while he took off.
But in the cargo bay Kitty could hear something going on outside. She was beginning to get worried because if the Barricade got damaged they wouldn’t be able to get off this planet.
“What’s going on out there?” she asked.
“Don’t worry,” replied Hysteria through the intercom. “We just have a little problem that I’m solving.”
“Don’t damage the ship whatever you do.”
“Don’t worry I won’t.”
The moment that they were clear Hysteria sent the Barricade flying into the air. The giants were out of their range as they flew away. Within seconds they reached the atmosphere and they went into outer space. Hysteria gave out a huge sigh of relief when this happened.
“We’re home free,” said Hysteria.
“Good I’m going to get the wiggies over giants for at least the rest of my life,” replied Kitty.
“Well they’re not all bad.”
“I suppose.”
“And to cheer you up I’ll put on a film for you.”
“Got any Ben Stiller?”
“Night at the Museum.”
“Put that on.”
A huge screen came down and Hysteria put Night at the Museum on for his giant friend. She began to feel relaxed and she was even able to get herself a few tons of popcorn. Hysteria would have joined her but he was still trying to find out how far they were away from Earth.
But he could hear Kitty laughing. He was pleased to hear that she was enjoying herself. She had seemed to be low for a while. But things seemed to be getting a little better for her.
“Great we’re almost there,” said Hysteria to himself. “But it looks like we have one last stop.”
He flew the ship as far as he could. But eventually they had to land to get some more fuel. He chose a planet that had a breathable atmosphere. He made sure that the inhabitants were their size.
Hysteria gently landed the Barricade on the ground near a civilized area. He hoped that they could help him.
“Last stop before home.”
“Can I get out now?” asked Kitty. ”You won’t believe how cramped it is in here.” She grunted a little.
“Yeah you’re fine,” replied Hysteria. “Just go outside and stretch those long legs of yours.”
Kitty then phased herself out of the ship and she went to the outside. She stood up to her full height and she began to stretch her body. She had felt extremely cramped but now she felt like the world had been lifted off her shoulders.
“This feels so good,” she said.
Eventually Hysteria came out of the ship. He looked up at his giant size friend. He still couldn’t get over how tall she was.
“What’s the weather like up there?” asked Hysteria.
“A hell of a lot better then down there,” replied Kitty. She then smelled under her armpit and she didn’t like what she could smell. “I seriously need a bath.”
“Well maybe there’s a lake somewhere around here.”
“I’ll have a look. In the meantime see where we can get some gas.”
“Sure thing.”
Kitty then began to look around a little. Thanks to her great height she could see for miles. Eventually she spotted something that looked remarkable like a lake. She began to walk towards it.
Thanks to her size the journey only took a few minutes. She found it a little strange that she hadn’t seen anyone on the way. But right now she liked privacy. She didn’t want everyone to see her in the nude.
But before Kitty went into lake she looked to see if there were any signs of private property. Thankfully for her she could find no such sign so she began to unzip her costume. She easily took it off and she slipped into the water. To her surprise it was warm.
“Oh this is good,” she said to herself.
Kitty then began to bathe herself in the warm water. It felt like she was in a warm bath back on Earth. Although there was no bubbles she didn’t really mind. The bath itself was good enough.
But then she began to hear something in the bushes. She turned her head towards where the sound came from. At first the sound went away. But when it returned she looked at the same place again.
“Don’t bother hiding I know someone’s there,” she said.
At first no one came out. Kitty had to stand up and cover herself. She began to look better towards where the sound came from. She couldn’t see anything there due to a bush in the way. But she simply put her hand in it and she was able to pick out a humanoid like creature.
“Got you.”
“Please don’t turn me in,” replied the alien.
“For spying on me? Give one good reason why?”
“Please they’ll kill me.”
“Spying on women is morally wrong but it’s hardly a capital crime.” But then she noticed that the alien was terrified. “Look this once I’m going to overlook this. But if I catch you spying on me again I will turn you in.”
“Thank you.”
Kitty then put the alien on the ground and he instantly ran away. By now she had had enough of her bath. She got out and grabbed some large leaves from the trees to dry herself off. Thankfully it was also bright and sunny and this helped her dry off as well. It only took her a few minutes to get clean.
But then she began to hear something beeping in her ear. At first she thought that it was in her head. But when it continued she realised that it was real. It almost sounded like a communicator.
She decided to put her finger to her ear and she seemed to be a little confused with what was happening.
“Kitty is that you?” asked a voice.
“Hysteria?” replied Kitty.
“Yeah it’s me.”
“Wait how come I can hear you?”
“Well I put a communicator into your ear while you were sleeping.”
“And you never bothered to tell me because…”
“It slipped my mind.”
“I’ll give you slip your mind.”
“That’s not important. Something’s come up and I really need you back here now.” There was some tension in his voice.
“What’s wrong?”
Just then the line went fuzzy and Kitty couldn’t hear him anymore. She instantly became worried about him and she put her clothes back on. But she didn’t know what was happening.
Kitty raced back to the Barricade but when she got there she saw that someone was putting something on it. It looked like a piece of paper with some numbers on. Soon she realised that it was money. Someone was trying to sell the ship.
At the ship was another alien. This one looked very similar to the one that had been spying on her earlier. But she could definitely tell that it was a different alien. But that didn’t stop her from picking him up.
“What do you think you’re doing?” asked Kitty.
“Selling the ship,” replied the Alien. “Do you want it? I can do you a really good deal. Plus I’ll throw in a toaster.”
“This is my ship.”
“That’s the spirit now how much do you want to buy it for?”
“No I mean this is my ship anyway. I’m the legal owner.” She then paused for a moment. “Co-owner.”
“Well this ship belongs to the Government now.”
“What gives them the right to take the ship? And where’s Hysteria?”
“Who?”
“My friend. The other co-owner of the ship.”
“Oh him you’ve got to see him in court.”
“Oh great what ahs he done now?”
“I don’t know.”
“Fine I’ll go and see what he’s done. In the meantime if you sell this ship there’ll be hell to pay got it?”
“Got it.”
Kitty went to walk way but then she realised that she didn’t know where the court was. She looked back to the alien and she tried to give him a little smile. She was feeling a embarrassed at this moment of time.
“Which way is the court?” asked Kitty.
“A few miles that way,” replied the alien. He then pointed to a certain direction. “You better hurry.”
“Thanks.”
Kitty then began to walk quickly in the direction that had been pointed out to her. She could see a small town with buildings as tall as she was. She had some difficulties seeing where the courthouse was. She could see other aliens on the ground walking the streets. She gently picked one up.
“Hey what do you think you’re doing?” asked the Alien.
“Sorry I was just wondering where the court is from here?” replied Kitty. “My friend’s just about to go on trial.”
“What’s in it for me?”
“Come on all I need are directions.”
“Sorry but you’ll have to do better then that.”
“I have nothing of value.”
“Then perform me a service.”
“Ok fine.”
“Take me home and I’ll point you in the right direction.”
“Fine.”
He then began to point Kitty towards his home. She immediately went where she was told. She just wanted to get to the court to see Hysteria. But after several minutes of walking she eventually reached his home.
The home was underground and only a trap door on the surface led there. But Kitty was getting a little impatient.
“Ok see you later,” said the alien.
“Wait you were going to tell me where the court was,” replied Kitty.
“Oh yeah.” It a few hundred yards up the street you can’t miss it. It’s been a pleasure doing business with you.”
Kitty then walked towards the courthouse. It was a relatively small building and she couldn’t see Hysteria on the outside but he was definitely inside. She tried to look through on of the windows. But then she heard shouting below her. When she looked down she saw a few more aliens. But these ones were wearing uniforms. They began to prod her with a electric stick but she just phased through them.
“Hey stop that,” she commanded.
“You are illegally trespassing,” replied one of the officers.
“My friend is in there.”
“You’re not think of busting him out are you? Because if you are you’ll have hell to pay.”
“Oh please if I was going to break him out you wouldn’t be able to stop me. But don’t worry I’m not breaking him out. I just want to know what crime he’s committed. That’s all.”
“So you’re a visitor?”
“Yes.”
“Why didn’t you just say so?” asked the Alien guard.
“Well you never asked,” replied Kitty. “Now how do I see him?”
“Well you can go and see him in the court.”
“Hello I’m way too big to fit inside.”
“Then you’ll just have to wait until everything’s done and dusted.”
Meanwhile inside the court Hysteria was just being led in. He was cuffed and another guard went to him. The room itself was full of different alien species and there was a judge but no jury.
But before anything could start Hysteria had to put all his weapons into a tray. He started with giving them his pistols. Next he put on his grenades, darts, adamantium knives, jetpack and even his rope.
“Anything else?” asked the Judge.
“No that’s all of them,” replied guard.
“Then the defendant will be seated and we’ll start this trial.” He then cleared his throat as Hysteria was seated. “The Defendant is accused of six counts of possession without a licence. And three counts of driving in restricted airspace. Now how does the defendant plea to these charges.”
“Not guilty,” replied Hysteria.
“Now the evidence.”
Just outside Kitty saw what was going on. She could see it through a small window. But she couldn’t hear hat was being said so she phased her head through the wall and this caused some surprise in the courtroom. A few people gasped at her sudden appearance but she didn’t try and move.
“Don’t mind me,” said Kitty.
“Next time if you’re going to do something like that give everyone a good warning first,” replied the Judge.
“Will do. But before you get started again can you tell me what my friend has done please?”
“Six counts of possession without a licence and three counts of driving in restricted airspace.”
“Alright.”
“And to keep you up to date he’s pleading not guilty.”
“I stand by that,” replied Hysteria.
“And now to the evidence before we get anymore interruptions.”
The guards then brought out a box. They put it onto the ground and then a holographic image came out of it. It was very large and it showed the Barricade going through some of the sky. There were particular landmarks below them. The Judge then looked towards Hysteria.
“Is this not you clearly flying through restricted airspace?” he asked.
“Well yes but…” replied Hysteria.
“Then you are guilty of flying through restricted airspace. The punishment for that is 72 hours community service.”
“Oh come on!”
“And now bring the evidence for the second set of charges.”
The guards then brought in a few things that were from the Barricade. These were just some supplies from the ship.
“As you can see your honour many of these items are illegal here,” said one of the guards.
“Oh come on how was I suppose to know that?” replied Hysteria.
“Where did you attain these items?” asked the Judge.
“Some planet far away.”
“Name.”
“I don’t know. I just landed there got a few supplies and then buggered off. I didn’t get chance to catch the bloody name.”
“Since you haven’t given me a name I’m left with no choice but to say that you’re guilty.”
“That’s not fair.”
“You are sentenced to an additional 96 hours community service totalling up to a grand total of 168 hours of community service.”
“A week?”
“Next case.”
“Wait,” replied Kitty. Everyone looked at her again. “If I did half of his community service would that mean he gets half the time?”
“I guess so,” replied the Judge.
“Then I’ll do it.”
“Very well the defendant’s community service has been slashed to 84 hours and the remainder of the service be performed by this being here. Next case.”
Hysteria was then taken away and all Kitty could do was phase her head out of the wall and give out a sigh. Although it meant she had to do the community service but it did mean that they could finish twice as quickly.
The next day Hysteria and Kitty were in a field planting trees. There were guards there making sure that they wouldn’t try and escape. Although Kitty could escape if she wanted to she didn’t want to make things any worse.
“This is all your fault,” said Kitty.
“How is this my fault,” replied Hysteria.
“You had to get those things. You could have left at least one of them behind.” She then gave out another sigh.
“I believe one of those things I got done for was yours.”
“But the other five were yours.”
“Ok they might have been mine.” He then fired his gun at the ground and it made a large hole. Kitty then put a large tree in the hole and she tried to bury the roots. “But I did need them.”
“Yeah like you’d ever need a back scratcher.”
“Do you know how hard it is to scratch your back while wearing this suit?” She then shook her head. “I didn’t think so.”
“How much longer do we have?”
“Another 80 hours each.”
“This is going to take forever.”
“Well if we just get cracking then the time will just fly by. Hell we could even sing while we work. It could help.”
“I think I’ll pass.”
“Your loss.”
Hysteria then began to sing Always Look On The Bright Side Of Life. This was getting Kitty a little annoyed. But she tried to block it out and she just continued with her work. But she could still hear it and she had to act.
“Can you please stop that?” asked Kitty.
“Sorry,” replied Hysteria. “I’ll put the actually song on instead.”
“What?”
Hysteria then pushed a few buttons and Always Look On The Bright Side Of Life came on loud speaker. Kitty just stood there and looked at him while before picking him up. But he didn’t realise that anything was wrong.
“When I said stop it I meant don’t do anything with that song,” said Kitty.
“But I like it,” replied Hysteria. “It also reminds me that things can always be worse. Also it’s from a good film.”
“If you’re going to put music on can you please put something on that we can both listen to?”
“Like what?”
“I don’t know.”
“How about Queen?”
“No thank you.”
“Metallica?”
“Too loud.”
“Nirvana?”
“Too grunge.”
“Bob Marley?”
“Ok Bob Marley.”
Hysteria then put Is This Love on and they got back to work. Kitty hummed along to the music and she just got along with what she was doing. Before she knew it the pair had practically planted an entire forest. She looked around and was amazed with how fast it all seemed to go.
“That was fast,” said Kitty.
“See music makes work go faster,” replied Hysteria. “Sometimes.”
“I wonder what’s next.”
“Hopefully some R&R. I’m knackered.”
He then sat down on the ground and he took his helmet off. He began to sigh a little as he began to relax. He was glad that they had finished. But he knew that there were a lot of hours still to go on their community service. They were going to be at it for another two weeks or so.
Kitty also sat down and she began to relax. She looked down at Hysteria and she gave him a little smile.
“Do you have Thriller on there?” asked Kitty.
“By Wacko Jacko?” replied Hysteria.
“Yeah.”
“Yeah I’ve got that one.”
“Can you put it on please?”
“Yeah sure.”
Hysteria then put the Thriller on for Kitty and she listened to it. She was actually enjoying it.
While the music was on Hysteria danced a little while he worked. He was terrible at dancing but he was only doing it for a bit of fun. Kitty couldn’t help but giggle at him as he tried to dance.
“You can’t dance can you?” asked Kitty.
“Sorry I had my sense of rhythm removed when I was but a young boy,” replied Hysteria.
“You can’t have your sense of rhythm removed. You either had it in the first place or you never had it at all.”
“Ok I never had it. But I bet you don’t either.” He then laughed a little. But then Kitty gave him a playful but evil smile.
“Wanna bet?” replied Kitty.
“No but I’d like to see you try anyway.”
“Turn the music up and start it from the beginning.”
“As you wish.”
Hysteria then started Thriller from the start and Kitty began to dance to it. She was getting all the right moves in at the right time. Hysteria was quite amazed with what he was seeing.
“Louder,” demanded Kitty.
“Alright,” replied Hysteria.
He then turned up the music even more and Kitty continued to dance. They both enjoyed what was happening. Although it wasn’t exactly the same with only one person doing the Thriller dance but Hysteria couldn’t do the dance.
But when the song finished they both laughed at each other. For a moment they forgot all the work that they had to do. It was like they were on vacation. But soon they would have to snap back into reality.
“Well it was fun while it lasted,” said Kitty. She then gently picked up Hysteria. “What’s next?”
“You need a bath,” replied Hysteria.
“Hey!”
“No really you do.”
Kitty then sniffed under her own armpit and she could smell something foul. “Ok maybe I do need a bath. But I need to wash these clothes as well. These are the only clothes that fit me.”
“Leave that to me.”
With permission from the officers guarding them Kitty was allowed to take a bath in a local lake. Hysteria had to bathe her clothes in another lake not too far away. It was quite difficult considering their size. But he just did the best he could. He preferred to stay on Kitty’s good side. He might have enough guns and firepower to take out an entire army. But a woman who could crush him and phase through his weapons was someone he didn’t want to get mad.
Kitty bathed in the warm pool. Although she had bathed recently she really needed to have this one. She just hoped that this time no one watched her. She didn’t want anyone seeing her.
“Well there’s not too long to go,” she said to herself. “Only 90 odd hours to do and then I’m out of here.”
She scrubbed herself with the water.
As Kitty bathed herself she felt pretty nice inside. It was very relaxing for her and she wished that she could stop in it forever. But eventually reality set in and she could feel things getting cold.
“I better get out,” she said.
She then slowly got herself out of the pool and she dried herself off as best as she could. She looked around and thankfully she didn’t see anyone spying on her. It was a first for a while.
“Guess a giant girl can have some privacy after all.”
She then put her clothes back on and she walked away. A few seconds later a couple of heads popped out of the grass. They were definitely alien but one of them had a device that looked like a camera.
“Did you get it?” asked one of them.
“Oh yeah,” replied the other.
“Score.”
They then high fived each other and walked away. Kitty hadn’t realised that they had taken pictures of her having a bath. If she had known about it more then likely she would not have approved.
Kitty quickly went back to where she had left Hysteria. But when she got there he was gone. She was a little surprised at this but she could hear him singing not too far from where she was.
“Hysteria I know you’re around here somewhere,” said Kitty. “Don’t make me have to find you.”
Kitty then saw him stagger towards her. He seemed to be singing along to Shiny Happy People by R.E.M. He still wasn’t taking much notice of her. But eventually she picked him up and brought up to her level.
“Hysteria,” she said.
“W-what?” replied Hysteria.
“Where have you been?”
“Dancing along singing along in the beautiful…”
“Doesn’t matter. Is there anything else we have to do today?”
“Nope its time for to retire for the night.”
“Good I’m feeling pretty tired.”
“I don’t.”
“That’s because you don’t sleep.” She then began to think a little. “Wait where am I going to sleep?”
“I think they said they had somewhere for you.”
“Good.”
“But it’s not pretty.”
A few minutes later Kitty was looking at the place where she was sleeping. It was an old barn and it had a nasty smell to it. She didn’t really like the idea of going in there. She looked back at Hysteria.
“They can’t be serious,” she said.
“They are,” replied Hysteria. “You can’t really go on the ship. You’ve just about outgrown it.”
“So how do I get home if I can’t fit on this ship?”
“I dunno.”
“What do you mean you don’t know?” asked Kitty.
“I mean that I don’t know how you can fit into the ship,” replied Hysteria. “The obvious answer is to get a bigger ship.”
“But we don’t have money and we can’t earn any for a while.”
“I could take up bounty hunting.”
“You could do. But it’s risky.”
“Nah I’ll be fine. And in the meantime you can do something with your talents to make people happier if you know what I mean.”
“Are you telling me to become a prostitute?”
“Oh no. I’m saying use your size and phasing abilities to help people. And then maybe get a little bit of money out of them.”
“I don’t save people and then ask for money.”
“Well you could do.”
Kitty then gave out a yawn. She was tired from working all day and she looked at Hysteria once more.
“Ok now I am going to sleep,” she said.
“Alright see you in the morning,” replied Hysteria.
He then left the barn and Kitty lay down as best as she could. It wasn’t the most comfortable place she had ever slept but it would have to do. There wasn’t anywhere else she could sleep.
She thought that Hysteria was lucky since he didn’t have to sleep. He just went back to the ship and began to watch a few films. He got a few drinks and he began to enjoy himself.
But while watching his second film he began to hear something in the back of the ship. He quickly went to investigate and he got his weapons ready just in case there was anything dangerous lurking anywhere. He was a little nervous but he had been in worst scenarios.
Eventually he reached a long corridor and he could hear something down it. It sounded a little like a whimpering sound and he loaded his pistol. He began to walk slowly towards the sound.
“I know something’s down there,” he said. “Come out and I won’t have to shoot you.” He then clicked his guns. “I’ll give you to the count of three. One, two.” But before he could say three a creature came jumping out him. It looked to be a mix of a lizard and a cat. He quickly shot it before it could reach him. “Three.”
He then walked over to it and he began to see if it was still alive. It didn’t seem to be moving so he guessed that hew as safe. He put his pistol away and he began to look at it a little more.
“What the hell is this?” he asked himself.
But he continued to hear whimpering noises. He took a look in the main cargo hold where Kitty used to sleep. Inside he was horrified to see that it was full of these creatures. He began to feel nervous when he saw them looking at him.
“Ok everyone get the hell out of here,” he said.
All the creatures then looked at him and he began to load his guns up. He had a small smile on his face. But underneath it all he was nervous. He had never taken on so many things at once. He didn’t even know what these creatures were capable of. For all he knew they could spit acid.
But one by one the creatures began to attack him. He fired at each of them. But it seemed for every one creature he shot down another two would replace it. It reminded him of the Hydra.
“Time to call out the big guns,” he said.
He then put his pistols away and pointed his fist towards the creatures. A second later flames came out of it and it began to hit the creatures. They began to scream out in cries of pain.
“Yeah you come here you’re going to get burned.”
But unknown to him one of the creatures was behind him. It jumped onto the back of his helmet and then flew off with it. Without his helmet Hysteria couldn’t operate his weapons automatically. Now he would have to switch to manual control. It was trickier but possible for him.
“Where’s Kitty when I bloody need her?”
Meanwhile in her barn Kitty was still trying to get to sleep. She was rolling over a little and trying to get herself. She couldn’t get herself comfortable and she eventually sat up. But this caused her head to hit the ceiling.
“Ow,” she said rubbing her head. “This barn is way too small for me. Even the Barricade seemed to have more room.”
She then phased herself out of the barn and she looked towards the Barricade. She could see flashing lights inside and she knew that something was wrong. She quickly ran over to it.
“Hysteria!” she shouted.
“Little busy right now,” replied Hysteria from inside the Barricade.
“What?” She then phased her head through the ship and she could see that Hysteria was fighting for his life. She quickly phased her arms inside and she grabbed a few of the creatures. She then phased them back outside.
“This is taking too long,” he said.
“I’ve got an idea.”
She then put her hand on the ship and she began to concentrate. In a matter of seconds the creatures began to phase through the ship and they ended up at the bottom. No sooner were they out they scattered.
“Wow you made them phase out of the ship,” said Hysteria. “I thought you had to touch them to do that.”
“Well technically they didn’t phase out of the ship. The ship phased out with them. I made everything in the ship including you phase. They were still solid so they just went through the floor as if they were ghosts.”
“That’s so cool. Never knew you could do that.”
“You’d be surprised.”
“So I guess you’ll go back to your barn now.”
“No not enough room. Rather sleep out here by the ship then sleep in there. You don’t mind do you?”
“No not at all.”
The next morning Kitty woke up relatively early. She sat up and she began to stretch her body. She noticed that everything around her seemed to be a little smaller then it had been the previous night. This was because she was still growing and unless she found some way to stop she would keep growing.
Hysteria was still inside the Barricade. He was awake like normal but he was relaxing in the cockpit. For now he didn’t have much of a care in the world. But then he saw Kitty right in front of the window. It made him jump a little since he wasn’t expecting to see her there.
“Bloody hell what are you trying to do?” asked Hysteria. “Scare me to death.”
“Sorry,” replied Kitty. “But we’ve gotta go.” She then phased her hand through the glass and grabbed him. She then took him up to her level and she gave him a bit of a smile. “You don’t want to get any further community service?”
“Well no.”
“Then we’ve got work to do.”
She then began to walk towards a large building. This building was part of the city council and it would be the place where Kitty and Hysteria received their assignments and whatever they needed to do it.
Today they were going to be forced to do farm work. At a farm not too far away they would have to perform several tasks. This included harvesting the crops, cleaning out the barns and feeding the animals.
Normally Kitty would have loved to have fed some farm animals. But the ones she saw were alien. She didn’t recognise any of them and quite a lot of them gave off a foul stench. She had to cover her nose on several occasions.
She looked at Hysteria who was shovelling food towards a couple of large farm animals. He didn’t seemed to be bothered about the stench whatsoever. This annoyed Kitty a greatly.
“Doesn’t the smell bother you?” asked Kitty.
“No not at all,” replied Hysteria.
“Why not?”
“I’ve programmed my helmet to block out the smell. So as far as I’m concerned there is no smell.”
“Lucky you.”
“I guess you have to do it the old fashioned way.”
“Unlucky me.”
“Hey less talk and more work!” shouted the Farmer from behind them.
They both continued their work. Kitty was having to move some large animals to their new pen. This was difficult for her since they wouldn’t stay still. Just when she went to grab one of them it would run away from her. This was annoying her a lot and when she grabbed any of them she would immediately take it to the pen and put them down. Work was slow.
“Now let’s see three down,” said Kitty. She then turned around and saw all the others. “About 97 to go.”
She then gave out a sigh and she carried on.
Kitty quickly tried to put all the animals back in the pen. But they kept getting out of her grip. She was beginning to get annoyed. She was doing everything in her power to try and calm herself down.
“Hysteria!” she shouted.
Within seconds Hysteria flew to her. He landed on the ground not too far from her and he looked up at his giant size friend.
“Yep,” he said.
“Can you please help me,” replied Kitty. “I’m getting nowhere.”
“What needs doing?”
“I need to put these things back in their pen. But they won’t stay still and the ones I grab just wriggle out.”
“I can handle this.” He then got his pistol out and shot one of the creatures. It quickly dropped the ground.
“Hysteria!”
“What?”
“You’re not suppose to kill them.”
“I didn’t I set it to stun.”
“Oh.” She then picked up the unconscious creature and put it in the pen. “Can you do it to all of them?”
“Yeah sure.” He then shot several others. “See now its nice and easy.”
“Thanks.”
He pair worked together to get the job done. Hysteria would stun the creatures and Kitty would put them back in their pen. After almost an hour the job was done. Kitty sat down for a moment and wiped the sweat off of her forehead. She looked at Hysteria and gave him a smile.
“Thanks for the help,” said Kitty.
“My pleasure,” replied Hysteria. “It’s the least I can do.”
“How many more hours community service do we have to do?”
“Another 70 hours each.”
“Will it ever end?”
“Yeah eventually.”
As the day went on the pair continued their work. They had to constructed a large barn. Kitty almost stepped on Hysteria while she was doing this. If it wasn’t for his quick reflexes he would have likely been squashed. She couldn’t stop apologising to him. She even let him put Queen on while he was working.
“I’m bound to be proposing on a Saturday Night,” sang Hysteria. “I’ll be lazing on a Sunday, Lazing on a Sunday, lazing on a Sunday Afternoon.” He then began to air guitar to Kitty’s annoyance.
“Please don’t do that,” replied Kitty.
“Sorry couldn’t help myself.”
The song quickly stopped and they both looked at the completed barn. They seemed to be happy with their work.
“Well looks like we did a good job,” said Hysteria.
“Yeah you’re right,” replied kitty. “I know the meaning of the expression A job well do is reward enough.”
“And now to add the finishing touch.”
Hysteria then walked over to the barn and he banged a nail into place. But then he heard a rumbling sound. He looked at the barn and saw that it was shaking. He took a few steps back and watched as the barn completely collapsed. He didn’t quite know what had just happened. But he looked back at Kitty and she was looking down at him with her arms crossed. She wasn’t impressed.
“I know what you’re thinking,” said Hysteria. “And believe me this is no way my fault in any shape or form.”
“It’s all your fault,” replied Kitty.
“Ok but don’t harm the little guy.”
“All those hours wasted.”
“Remember what Jesus said. Love Thy Neighbour.”
“I’m Jewish.”
“Ok bad example. But there’s just one thing I want to know.”
“What’s that?”
“Can I have a head start?”
Hysteria then flew away and Kitty chased after him. She was very angry with him and he hoped that she wouldn’t catch him and eventually she would get tired and stop. But after several miles Kitty was still chasing him. He looked back and saw that she was catching up with him.
“Don’t you ever get tired?” asked Hysteria.
“Not when I set my mind to something,” replied Kitty.
“Oh bloody hell.”
A couple of minutes later Kitty was sitting down on a hill have a nice relax. In her hand she had Hysteria. He was wrapped by a long piece of rope that was attached to Kitty’s index finger. She was using him as a yo-yo. He was rolling down before rolling back up into her hand.
“Please Kitty,” said Hysteria. “I think I’m going to be sick.”
“Five more minutes and then we’ll talk,” replied Kitty.
She then continued to use him as a yo-yo for a couple more minutes. But eventually she stopped and rested him in her hand. He was very dizzy and he just lay there as the world around him.
“Are we even now?” asked Hysteria.
“I guess so,” replied Kitty.
“Bloody great.”
He then collapsed and Kitty just looked at him. She knew that he had been through a lot worse. But she did feel a little bad about how she had treated him. But she just kept him in her hand.
“If I had anything in my stomach I would have brought it back up by now,” said Hysteria. He then groaned. “Did you have to do that?”
“No not really,” replied Kitty. “But it was fun.”
“Not for me it wasn’t.”
“I’m sorry but next time remember not to knock down my barn after I’ve just made it. It shouldn’t be too difficult”
“It was an accident.”
“Ok so maybe I over reacted a little.”
“A little?”
“ok a lot. But you can’t blame me. How would you feel if you were as tall as me?”
“I don’t know. Never thought of it.”
“Well it’s terrible. It wouldn’t be too bad if I stopped at this size. But I’m getting taller and taller every single minute. I’m taller then I was yesterday and I’ll be taller tomorrow. I don’t know if it’ll ever stop.”
“It will eventually.”
“When will I be taller the Statue of Liberty, the Empire State Building, or even Mount Everest?”
“I’m sure you’ll stop growing soon. You can’t just keep growing and growing.”
“Right now I don’t know what’ll happen to me.”
“Well just look on the bright side of life.”
“I can’t see one.” She then sighed and stood up. “I’m going to get a drink. I’ll see you later.”
Kitty then began to walk away. But Hysteria was stuck on top of the hill that kitty had been sitting on. His jetpack had been damaged and he couldn’t fly. He tired calling to his giant friend.
“Hey Kitty I can’t get down!” he shouted. “My jetpack’s knackered!”
But it was too late. Kitty was too far away for her to hear him. He began to decent down the hill. But it was very steep and a couple of times he almost fell to his untimely death. Thankfully for him he was able to get down by himself. But he was a little upset that Kitty had just left him there.
Not too far away Kitty was at the lake getting some water to drink. She looked at herself in the water. She still looked the same but only bigger. She then looked away from the lake and just sat there.
“I wanna go home,” she said softly.
Kitty just sat there and wondered. She was thinking about what the world is like now. Although she hadn’t been gone for too long it felt like a lifetime for her. She didn’t expect the world to have been completely changed. But she expected there to be a couple of changes. She wondered if Barack Obama had been elected president or had John McCain won it. She also wondered if the Pope had changed yet. But from all the way here she wouldn’t know.
After roughly half an hour one of the aliens that was keeping guard of her walked over to her. He had a rifle with him and he was cautious. No one on the planet trusted both kitty and Hysteria.
“Why aren’t you working?” asked the alien.
“I’ve finished for the day,” replied Kitty.
“We finish when we say you have.”
“But I’ve done all the work you asked. There’s not more I can do here. Unless you can see anything that needs doing.”
The guard then looked around but he couldn’t see anything that could be done. He then gave out a sigh.
“Fine you’ve made your point. But you and your boyfriend must report back tomorrow morning.”
Kitty then picked up the alien guard and glared at him. “Let me get one thing straight. He’s not my boyfriend got it.”
“I-I got it.”
“Good now never say it again.”
“Ok.”
She then put him down on the ground and he practically ran away. This left Kitty by herself again. But she wasn’t alone for long. Hysteria eventually went to her. He had gotten down the hill with great difficulty since his jetpack was damaged. He could see that Kitty was upset and he couldn’t be angry with her. He just rubbed her leg and looked up at her.
“Come on Kitty its not all that bad,” said Hysteria.
“Easy for you to say you’re not growing like me,” replied Kitty. She then sighed. “In my mind things can’t get any worse.”
“Believe me things can always get worse. No matter how bad things are they can always get worse. But on the flip side things can always get better.”
“Things can’t get better.”
“Sure they can remember the song? Things can only get better. They only get, they only get, they only get better. Now that things can only get.”
“Thanks for trying. But it’s not working.”
“Ok what will make you happier?”
“Shrinking back to my normal size and being back on Earth.”
“Ok anything I can do?”
“Fancy some role playing.”
“What kind of roll playing?”
“This might sound like a stupid question but ever watched Star Wars?” asked Kitty with a small smile on her face.
“Who hasn’t,” replied Hysteria.
She then smiled even more and she tapped him on the shoulder. She hoped that he would be able to play along without her help.
“He doesn’t like you,” she said.
“Oh right,” replied Hysteria. He then turned away and Kitty tapped his shoulder once more.
“I don’t like you either. You better be careful we’re wanted men. I have the death sentence on twelve systems.”
“I’ll be careful.”
“You’ll be dead.”
They both laughed and it made Kitty feel happier. Hysteria was glad that he could make his giant friend happy. He didn’t like to see her upset. He began to think and he thought that their situation was similar. They were possible in a galaxy far, far away. He still hoped that not too much time had passed since they had gone.
Kitty then yawned and stretched her arms. It was getting pretty late and she was tired. She preferred to go somewhere where she had shelter. But since there wasn’t anywhere she could go she had to stay on the ground. Hysteria could have left her and gone for shelter. But he didn’t want to abandon her so he decided he would stay with her. This made her happy.
“You can go if you want,” said Kitty.
“Nah I’ll stay here with you,” replied Hysteria.
“Thanks.”
We’ll be home before we know it.”
“I hope so.” She then gave out one more yawn. “Goodnight Hysteria.”
“Goodnight Kitty.”
Kitty then slowly went to sleep. Hysteria just sat there and looked up at the stars. Since he had no need for sleep. He also wanted to guard her just in case anything were to happen to her.
The next morning Hysteria was just going to get some breakfast when Kitty woke up. She stretched her extra long body and she stood up. She noticed that everything looked a little smaller then it had done the previous night. It meant that she was still growing and it seemed to be faster.
But for now all she could do was good and meet Hysteria for breakfast. But since she was too big to fit she just sat outside and waited for her breakfast to come out. It took a few minutes but several plates of food were brought out to her. But she noticed that they were all meat. She quickly stopped the alien who brought them out to her.
“Excuse me but this is all meat,” said Kitty.
“That’s right,” replied the Alien.
“Don’t you have anything that’s more suitable for vegetarians?”
“Well there’s the grass around you. Other then that there’s nothing.”
“Then I’m not eating this.”
“Suit yourself.”
He then took all the food inside and Hysteria walked out. He was full from his breakfast and he looked up at Kitty. She was sitting there and he waved at her.
“Hey Kitty great breakfast huh,” said Hysteria.
“No it wasn’t,” replied Kitty. “All they had was meat.”
“Oh yeah and you’re a vegetarian right?”
“Yep.”
“So did you eat it?” Kitty’s stomach then began to growl very loud. “I guess that answers my question.”
Just then they both noticed ships above them. At first they thought that they were simple transport ships. But when they began to fire they soon realised that they were warships. They half expected the ships to fire at them. But instead they were attacking several different targets.
“The Branigans are attacking!” shouted an alien. “Run for your lives.”
There were screams of terror and Kitty quickly picked Hysteria up and she stood up to her full height. That’s when they noticed other ships in the sky. They fired back at the attacking ships.
“What the hell?” asked Hysteria.
“I guess its some kind of war,” replied Kitty.
“What do we do?”
“Save as many people as we can.” She looked around and saw a few destroyed buildings. “And we seem to have our work cut out for us.”
“Alright.”
Both Kitty and Hysteria began to into then damaged buildings looking for survivors. A lot of people they discovered were already dead. But there were some who were still alive. Kitty had to use all of her strength ton get the rubble out of the way. She picked out the survivors and put them to one side.
But the ships above were still attacking. One fired at Kitty but she harmlessly phased through them. She looked up at the ship and she had a chunk of rubble in her hand.
“Eat this!” she shouted.
She then threw the rubble towards the ship and it was right on target. She didn’t expect to do that much damage. But when she saw it falling to the ground she realised just how much damage had been done.
But eventually the ships passed over and the town was safe for now. There were many rescue operations that were helping the injured. There was also somebody collecting the dead.
Kitty and Hysteria were sitting down relaxing after they had rescued a lot of people. But the aliens were still wary of them. They were still deemed as criminals but their actions had redeemed them somewhat.
A small alien came up to them and he looked up at Kitty. At first she thought that he was going to tell them to go back to work. But he just bowed to them.
“Thank you,” he said. “Without your efforts many more of my race would have been killed.”
“Why were you attacked?” replied Kitty.
“Believe it or not we’re at war.”
“With another planet?”
“No with another country.”
“So your planet is split into different countries. That’s just like our home planet. And there’s been wars.”
“Well ours have been going for many years. If it is not stopped soon I fear that it’ll kill us all.”
“How long as it been going for?”
“Over 200 years. But the funny thing is that no one really remembers why we’re fighting each other.”
“Then what’s the point.”
“Exactly. Personally I have tried to make peace. But neither side wants anything to do with it.”
“That’s stupid. So you’re telling me that the war is pointless.”
“Exactly. Before this war the population was huge. But now so many of our race have been killed you could call us an endangered species.”
“Then we’ll just have to end this war.”
“What are you going to do?” asked Hysteria.
“First off I’ll need a way to get to your enemies,” replied Kitty looking at the alien. “Then I’ll do what’s necessary.”
“You’re going to kill them?” answered the alien.
“No one is dying. I’m just going to make sure that they don’t have the weapons to attack.”
“So that we can strike and put an end to the war.”
“No. I’m making sure you both don’t have the weapons to destroy each other.”
“But won’t they just make more weapons?” replied Hysteria.
“That was only step one. Step two is to have some kind of peace talk between the two countries.”
“You sure it’s going to work?”
“It might or it mightn’t. But they’ll be a brief period where no ones shooting at each other.”
“I’ll see to it that you gat Cantona,” said the Alien.
“See that you do that.”
Several hours later both Kitty and Hysteria were on a small hovercraft sailing across the ocean. The automatic pilot was taking them to Cantona. They were discussing what they were going to do when they got there.
“Are you sure this is a good idea?” asked Hysteria.
“Got any better ideas,” replied Kitty.
“We could leave and let them be.”
“And everyone will die.”
“No one side will stay alive.”
“But I can’t let either of them die. They’re going to have peace whether they want it or not.”
Just then the hovercraft came to a stop right on the beach of Cantona. Hysteria was the first to jump off it. Then Kitty stood off it and stood up. She looked around and she could see were craters. It looked like it had been the scene of some kind of war zone. The craters were enormous even compared to her.
“Looks like this place had the hell blown out of it,” said Hysteria.
“Even more reason why there should be peace,” replied Kitty.
“But what if they don’t make peace.”
“If they don’t want to put their arms down then they deserve what they get. But I’m going to try and make sure that doesn’t happen.”
“Good luck.”
Can Kitty make any kind of peace? Find out next week.
