    Chasing Butterfly’s

  Fear not, little butterfly,
  winged beauty,
  tinged by sunlit skies.
  Your colors make rainbows sigh.
  Your flight seemingly uncertain,
as my eye tries to fix,
  upon one place you pause,
  on petals full of nourishment.
If you land on my shoulder,
it is good luck, they say.
Where do you go at night,
  is it places I dream?
Your movement is a dance,
  so excited, I follow you.
All day laughing until we part.
  After all, floating jewel,
  tomorrow I may catch you.
  And eternally I will smile,
because you will be there with me.
So smile at me little butterfly,
I wish I could be so free.
