Note:
These outlines are listed started with the working title: court it involves. Just ignore the "Unseelie"/"Seelie"/"Bridge" - Those are just notes for me as to where each story takes place. Unseelie takes place in the Unseelie Court. Seelie takes place in the Seelie Court. The Bridge is a combination of the two. Underneath that is a brief outline/description of each book. There are probably spoilers in each one. Oh well. Underneath, it says Parallel:Name of another book Basically, I'm writing a fictional history of Faerie Courts from Irish folklore. For each of the stories in the Unseelie Court, there is another story of what's going on in the Seelie Court at the same time (and vice versa). These are notes for me while I'm writing, in case I need to bring together the two storylines. If you have any ideas for sub-plots, witty one-liners, odd characters or any other little tidbits of information I may be interested in, I'd LOVE for you to share them. :] Thanks so much! Sight: Unseelie Court Rebecca is a human cursed with the Sight. This is about her life cavorting with the Fae. She's in love with an exiled Fae known as Thistledown. Thistledown is an solitary because he attempted to assassinate the ruler of the Unseelie Court, Ninepins. Thistledown is not in love with Rebecca but is using her as a pawn. He hopes that she will help him remove the current King. Ninepins is tormenting Rebecca half because of her association with Thistledown, and half because it amuses him. Parallel: Prophecy Ninepins: Unseelie Court Ninepins, the Faerie King, has fallen in love with Rebecca's eighteen-year-old daughter, Audrey Brynne. He is doing his best to convince the young woman to marry him. Unfortunately, Rebecca remembers the tortures she went through at the hands of Ninepins and is doing her utmost to prevent this union. Ninepins' and Audrey's relationship is almost destroyed further when Rebecca drugs him and he sleeps with another human woman, Maureen. Parallel: Renewal One For Little Moses: Unseelie Court Moses is conceived through Maureen and Ninepins' rendevouz. Moses knows nothing about his royal lineage (Maureen didn't find out she had slept with a Faerie until after his birth). Ninepins is dying. The Unseelie Court is preparing the contest to find the next ruler. Ninepins wishes his family line to continue on and he has no other heirs, so he must persuade Moses to participate in this contest. If he lives through it, he's king . . . but most don't live through it. Nineveh helps him win the contest so he takes her on as his advisor. Parallel: Turning the Tables Nineveh's Tale: Unseelie Court Nineveh is Moses' advisor. Over time she has grown to love him, but Moses becomes sick and cruel with power and spurns her advances – although he once claimed to love her in return. Nineveh grows bitter and plots to kill him and take the throne for herself – as would be her right. Parallel: Deceit Prophecy: Seelie Court Lilith is the current ruler of the Seelie Court. Sybrant and a Selkie, Naida, both come to her on separate occassions with the same vision – The Seelie Court reduced to a pile of rubble and Lilith's broken body on top of the heap. Just after news of this prophecy reaches her ears, more news comes to light – an army of solitary and exiled Fae wish the take the Court for their own. They are led by a Fae called Caaleb who was once a respected general. She must fend off the coming attacks and keep her domain in one piece. Parallel: Sight Renewal: Seelie Court Lilith has saved the Seelie Court from destruction – and very nearly sacrificed her life. Her health is too poor for her to continue rule so she passes the throne on to her only relative, Sindri. Only problem is, Sindri can't be found, and Lilith refuses to give the crown to anyone but a blood relation. Chaos ensues as a mad hunt for Sindri takes place. They must find a new ruler before the subjects condescend to anarchy. Already, infiltrators from other Courts are taking advantage of the lack of structure to kill off Lilith's subjects – and hopefully, the entire Seelie Court. Parallel: Ninepins Sindri: Seelie Court Sindri has stepped up to the throne, and with her a new veneer that overshadows the Seelie Court. She must win the loyalty of her subjects and bring the Seelie Court back from the dead all at once. Problem is, she's not a very nice queen and her subjects are not inclined to follow her. Now, she could control them by force, but she wants their unwavering loyalty. She must keep up a facade until the necessities are taken care of. Help for her cause comes in the form of a war general, Caaleb, who has done her a service and she has taken him in – despite his previous attempts to destroy the Court completely. Parallel: One For Little Moses Deceit: Seelie Court Now Damien has shown up on the scene. He and Caaleb have an immediate dislike of each other. Caaleb is trying to gain power. Damien is attempting to woo Sindri, thereby drawing her attention away from Caaleb. They have a row. Caaleb sacrifices his twin sister to save his own life. He is exiled – for the second time. Parallel: Nineveh's Tale Riddles: The Bridge Bambi is a psychic human girl with a lot of problems. Her life is falling apart. She has reoccuring nightmares of a battlefield, strewn with decapitated and eviscerated bodies. What she doesn't know is that these aren't nightmares, they're visions of the future – the future of the Unseelie and Seelie Courts, which, after years and years of an uneasy peace, are going to war. Both sides want her. Caaleb is sent from the Unseelie Court to fetch her. Damien is sent from the Seelie. Caaleb is trying to woo her to their side, although he cares not a wit for the girl. Damien is trying to tell her the truth, however terrifying it may be – and he's in love with her. The complication with him being in love with her is that he . . . kind of tried to kill her when they first met. :) Return: The Bridge Resolution: The Bridge
