My God! What’s happened to the world,
The place in which we live?
In veiled silence I can see

The hurt it brings into my heart
Is agonizing pain.
I truly do believe that

And then they stomp their feet.
They do the dance of politics
With smiles and deceit…
Our world is crumbling all around
In panic and in hate;
While we the people turn our heads
Unhappy and sedate.

Just look around with widened eyes
And open up your souls;
The peace we seek within our days
Defines our common goals.
