My name, a name, what IS in a name? I asked myself these questions late last Friday. And the name that sprung to me was Hamlet. Why Hamlet? God only knows, but if you look at it reasonably, there's a kind of logic that you just don't see unless you REALLY think about it. So then I thought of all the lies people tell all day. You'd think they'd be like Hamlet, but not exactly, the lies of the common man these days do not decide another human's fate.

No, these days one doesn't ask themself, Do I understand the consequences of my actions? Most of the time when you hear about the choices people make you say to yourself, Hell NO they didn't understand, hell, they didn't even CONSIDER that another human being could be affected by their rash decisions. And then you people go out and do the SAME thing. Is this what we want our world to become?

To be or not to be a butcher of the truth, a lying bastard, a truthful man of principles, lord, oh lord, shall I suffer the slings and arrows of mine own friends? For if I do drink this night and drive home, am I risking friends? If I take this woman home to bed, shall I be the worst kind of traitor? This being the evil many men and women face every day, and they never think about it.

So I ask you, the understated underbelly of the universe, you humans, you spirits, you souls, you proud creatures, do you understand the consequences?

I sorely hope you do. Because this world would be better if just ONE less accident happened. ONE less pregnant woman and ONE less fatherless child. ONE can change the world, we truly do not appreciate this fact. The power of one unites us, divides us, and can destroy us if we so choose it. You DO have the power. Make it right my friend, and one day, maybe, just maybe we can be together as friends. Together as equals. Together as honest, true men and women in an unforgiving world.

To be or not to be(a butcher of the truth)? That is the question......
