True Love and Torture
The pains of true love.

Ten o'clock.
Tears begin to puddle;
The searing pain returns.
Emptiness engulfs my heart
As I watch you walk away,
So hesitantly...
The pain in your eyes
Is almost more
Than I can bear.
Those blue-green eyes
Shimmer with a deep sadness,
Seeking solace in my face;
Yet the same sadness
Resonates within me,
Revealing itself in a
Forced, quivering smile.
As I watch helplessly,
The pain deepens as you
Listen to the unspoken torment
From which my soul silently cries,
Begging mercy though none be found.
I wish upon a true love's kiss
That neither of us should suffer
This much again
And wait...
