The Easy Way to Nowhere
Rated: E | Poetry | Inspirational | #1478057
In tragedy, everyone has two main ways to cope.
I'm lost and stopped
At a forked road
Both paths where the broken
Search for a way home
I hear a voice tell me the right way
But why do I want to disobey?

Turn to God
Or turn to earth
Turn to God
Turn to Earth
Life or death
The choice is yours

The wrong road is an easier walk
A downward spiral
Disguised as a straight path
My body strides with confidence
As my heart kicks up dirt
It lost control long ago
I walk backwards facing the way
I need to go

Turn to God
Or turn to earth
Turn to God
Turn to Earth
Life or death
The choice is yours

I never saw that cliff at the end
I face the sky
Not the pit into which I descend
Where I have been sent
By myself, and myself only
Please don't let me see the bottom

I may fall forever
But that gives You all the time in the world to catch me
I just have to let You

Please wait
Don't tell me I'm too late
Hear my voice
I've made the choice
Into Your hands I commend my spirit
Catch me!
