Nothing
They pry...but they will find Nothing.

Cut up my heart,
break it down and tear it apart
and you will see...
nothing.

Inside of me
someone is searching for some light --
some have hope
but find nothing.

With a surgeon's touch
deftly removing each organ,
leaving nothing for this heart
and body of nothing.

Slice me open,
cut me down and try to find
what makes you so curious
is just nothing.

You'll find nothing
but some fools pretend they see,
they want to make believe
that there is something.

Redefining me
was easy until they push me aside
because they suddenly find
I'm nothing.

In a heap.
rejected, the greedy try to take something,
leaving me with
nothing.

Those scavengers search
my body's weak flesh,
desperate grasping
for something.

My heart bleeds
from the search, they still don't believe
when I tell them
nothing is there.
