I Travel Alone.
Sometimes one cannot let others in, or feel the presence of others.

Day 1 - Prompt: The Dark
Do NOT use the words Dark, Black, Night

Stygian is the raven stillness of time
Stifling breath and subduing hope
Sharply deserved prickling pain sublime
Hopeless knowledge of inability to cope

Patterned pats on my back as all file past
Mouthing rehearsed words of pity
‘Be brave, the end had to come at last.’
Wall of despair keeps out their ditty.

This is a road traveled better alone
I must have time to grieve and mourn.
When at last that numbness will recede
Be there for me, when I need.
