Knock, Knock
You can only hide in a closet so long.

Closet my haven, refuge from evil.
Glimpsing monstrosity by crack of the door.
Vision of nightmares pacing before me.

Hunting, growling
in search of my flesh.

Eyes midnight navy with accents of red.
Enemy's aura a glaring hatred.
Devilish glances, chills dart down my spine.

Panting, craving
in search of my flesh.

Ashen skin haunts, reflects hollow heart.
Jagged, yellow nails rap staccato sounds.
Blood freezes in veins recoiling from touch.

Lurking, plotting
in search of my flesh.

Breath of rotting demons heat this space.
Cracked with pus, lips smack deadly desire.
Baring teeth of daggers, gnash and gnaw.

Howling, preying
in search of my flesh.

Retreat to back, deep darkness shield me.
Gurgling voice permeates my sanity.
Tongue flickers tasting air full of fear.

Knocking, knocking
in search of my flesh.
