My Love - A Ghazal

Passion took my heart high my love.
I felt that I could fly my love.

When you looked at me with sadness
I wished that I could die my love.

I know what you’re about to say,
You’re telling me goodbye my love.

Your leaving is so very hard,
Why must you break the tie my love?

Remember as you say adieu.
That it will make me cry my love.

Although my heart wants you to stay,
I will not live a lie my love.

Refrain - my love
Rhyme - high, fly, die, goodbye, tie, cry, lie.
Rhythm - 8-8
