Morning Meditation

"Morning Meditation"

Lustrous pink glow
shimmers against the low lying fog
trickling through to touch the landscape.

The glow burns into radiance
and brilliant pink becomes dazzling amber rays
as the morning dew sparkles on blades of grass.

While the sun rises into the morning sky,
I too, feel my spirit lifted and pulled upward.
It is a new day, a new beginning, a gift.

I watch it happen ~ in complete silence.
There is nothing more beautiful
than perhaps a sunrise at ocean's edge.

Though the sun will set again at dusk,
I drink in the serenity that surrounds me,
feeling that sense of reassurance
that all is right with the world... or will be.

Whispers from the past
bring a smile from deep within my heart.
Now I know why the sunrise reminds me of you...
It's beautiful...

Morning solace embraces me and replenishes my soul,
just as if you were here, holding me in your arms.

The silence gradually turns to morning song
and the new day begins.
I will untie the ribbons and enjoy the gift of today.
