Where Evil Dwells I neared the place where evil dwells, attacked by rotten, deadly smells. My nose scrunched at the awful stink. It was so strong, I could not think! I gathered all my bravery, scared by thoughts of what I might see. And reached my hand into that place where evil I was sure to face! Black as night was evil's dwelling. What was there? There was no telling! Scared I was, but I fought that fear, and then that evil did appear! Though I could not breathe from the smell, the evil thing, I did expel! I grabbed that evil by its head, and forced it from beneath my bed! Then at my husband, I did shout, "Please, throw those stinky work boots out!" Line Count: 18 lines Format: 8 syllables per line; AABB rhyme scheme Written On: October 8, 2008 Inspired By: Round Fifty-Nine of "COLORING THE WORLD CONTEST " Prompt: "Where evil dwells"
