Less Than Nothing

Wet and heat and carbon dioxide,
Pressure and push in this world of elbows and feet beneath feet,
Sweat and hairspray soaked eyes glancing and searching,
A hundred faces in every direction swelling and sinking,
Spiked heads,
Colors,
And piercings,
Push pull bounce,
Searching,
Someone soft rolling across my head and shoulder,
Move push move,
Find,
Beaming smile,
Glossy wet skin,
Damp flattened hair,
Eyes find eyes and her elbow is in my hand,
Smile and pull,
My hand slipping to wrist on saturated skin,
And pull,
A wake of bodies splitting off my back closing on my connection,
Pull,
Laughter breaking my grip,
And still laughter,
Alone again,
Wet and heat and carbon dioxide,
Pressure and push,
Someone hard on my head and shoulders,
Laughter and music.
