The Autumn of Man
As the earth continues its trip through eternity and the sun’s autumnal equinox has ended its presence for yet another time, the grand drama of life during fall begins. The animal creatures consult no books or television broadcasts to identify impending frosts or time of scarcity of food. The plants’ bundles of life on the leaves of trees are empty and the leaves must die and fall. Some animals sleep and dream of the beautiful future to come. Other animals have prepared a pantry of food that staves off hunger for the long, cold days ahead. But man neither sleeps or prepares for the destined changes he has in this time to come. He continues to plod through darkness and the cold fields. He finds that his preparation is the nearest pizza parlor or late night party. He misses the chance to get in sync with his inner cycle of life to renew this spirit for the overture of spring.
