Writing Procrastination/Calendar

What I plan to do to help complete NaNo
Friday, Oct. 24
Write a list of all the things you tend to do to procrastinate, and establish a schedule for the month of November outlining when you are and are not allowed to procrastinate. Schedule time to write and put your schedule in writing.

Things I do to Procrastinate
Talk on the phone
Internet
         Specifically:
                   play on livejournal
                   read fanfic
                   get distracted doing research
                   read random things on WDC
                   talk on scroll
                   read things on list serves
                   check email frequently
Read books
Just daydream

Things I am going to have to do even though I am Participating in NaNo
Work
         including:
                   lesson plans
                   grades
                   meetings, etc
Chores
         including:
                   cooking/dishes
                   animal care
                   painting/home repairs
Misc things that Momo/Mom asks me to do

When I am allowed to Procrastinate
Obviously I will need some downtime. I won't be able to think or process if I don't procrastinate at some point. I am going to set the goal of writing a minimum of 500 words before I am allowed to check things like my list serves or live journal. Since I normally check my email first thing in the morning and I don't do much writing in the morning, I'm going to continue to do that. I'm going to keep scroll off during my writing time and make myself write for at least an hour with no inturruptions or at least as few as possible during that time before I can log onto scroll and say hello.

Writing Time/Calendar
Due to my current housing situation (which is still unresolved at this time), I am not sure what my schedule will be for the next month or two so I cannot write out a real calendar. So this is what I am planning:

I will write for a minimum of one hour each day if at all possible. Since I seem to work better in the evening and have a better chance of working uninturrupted, I will take my hour from 7-8, 8-9, or 9-10. I will try very hard to write 1,000 words per hour (I realize this will not reach the goal of 50,000 words, but I also know that some days I will write more and some days less). In addition, I will work more on weekends and I also have the following days off from work during which I can dedicate more time to the project: Nov. 4, 11, 6, 7, and 28 (I am not counting the 27 because that is Thanksgiving and I know I will be spending time with my cousin eaglesIs40 ).

Once I am better aware of what my schedule will be (and my housing situation is settled), I will make a clearer schedule.
