WHAT ARE YOU DOING TONIGHT

Here’s to all that write poetry
in a traditional style.
Rhythm and rhyme flowing freely
impart pictures all the while.
~
Stories will fill up your pages
rewritten time after time.
Your mind searches and gages
when in your heart is the rhyme.
~
The waste can overflowing
with poems just not good enough
but the seed ever-growing
even though the draft is rough.
~
Crumpled paper on the floor
is hiding your feet from sight.
By the way, may I implore;
what are you doing tonight?
