Sleep's Image
After the eyes close and sleep takes over.

Night has come,
Again conquering the day.
My mind is dulled.
My thoughts in disarray.

Darkness encompasses,
Stars glitter as planets glow.
My eyes growing weary.
Television’s screen to snow.

Morpheus is overpowering,
The body in relaxation.
My mind embracing dreams.
Complete mental fascination.

Images taking shape,
Alluring, enticing, beckoning.
My mental image of you,
My own goddess, ever so inviting.

Our bodies nearing,
Heat radiating, senses tingling.
My entire being losing control,
My thoughts, my feelings, stimulating.

A claxon intruding,
Morning light dimming the visage.
My night ended, my day begun.
Awaiting again, sleep's image.
