Freedom by Decision
A poem written in Cinquian Form

Burden
Heavy millstone
weighing against the mind.
Emotional bondage holding
captive.

DECISION

Release!
Liberating,
moving on, letting go!
Rejoice in emancipating
freedom!


Author's Note: Cinquain is a short, usually unrhymed poem consisting of twenty-two syllables distributed as 2, 4, 6, 8, 2, in five lines. It was developed by the Imagist poet, Adelaide Crapsey.  Transition word in the middle.
