WAITING

** #1490363 Not An Image **

God sent an angel to share life with me,
But for my lifetime, this was not to be.

Took you to Heaven last February,
Left me here breathing but only barely.

Thought my heart would break, take also my life,
I wanted it to, wished to join my wife.

He would not take me – it was not my time,
A task is left me that is only mine.

I know not what He will require of me,
Before releasing soul from body free.

If it is a mountain ever so high,
I will climb with no question asking why.

If it is a river ever so deep,
I will cross for Him if I have to creep.

Whatever the job He asks me to do,
I will accomplish - to be there with you.
