Let Freedom Ring Again

Freedom is not free.
These words are lightly spoken
Men have given limb and life -
more than a token.
Our fathers could see
that there would be war and strife.

Constitution ruled
to keep the government out
of the citizen’s affairs
of this, there’s no doubt
It was understood
what men owned and earned was theirs.

People through the years
have demanded more and more
that this country must provide.
It doesn’t help the poor
by drying their tears
and giving them a free ride.

It was not the plan -
the founding of our nation –
that government would be there
as our salvation
It is out of hand.
Of this, you must be aware!

Let men gladly give
a hand out to his neighbor,
but not by government’s theft
from a man’s labor
Let every man live
free from the Marxist far left.
