Doe in fall's shadow
leaps at man's intrusive scent
thundering hooves speak

*Leaf2*          *Leaf3*          *Leaf4*

Mist devours antlers
behind thickets lone bull elk
stomps a grassy bed

*Snow2*          *Snow2*          *Snow2*

White — on white blossoms —
The full moon's frosty kiss, leaves
an orchard barren.

*Snow2*          *Snow2*          *Snow2*

Madness lurks in wind.
Frantic tumbleweeds quiver
against barbed wire fence.

*LeafG*          *LeafG*          *LeafG*
Tiny beads of green
pop out on sun-warmed branches —
Spring's perspiration.
