Doe in fall's shadow
leaps at man's intrusive scent thundering hooves speak Mist devours antlers behind thickets lone bull elk stomps a grassy bed White — on white blossoms — The full moon's frosty kiss, leaves an orchard barren. Madness lurks in wind. Frantic tumbleweeds quiver against barbed wire fence. Tiny beads of green pop out on sun-warmed branches — Spring's perspiration.
