Cliché Words
Slice my flesh to the bone,
Hoping to unleash my soul.
Plucked away at my own heart strings,
Gave you everything, bits and pieces of me.
If I told you these words would I be cliché?
Would you still listen to all that I have to say?
And
Step into my words, my words
Dance away with me.
Listen to my words, my words
Singing carelessly.
Hold on to my words, my words
And all our memories.
Wrap up in my words, my words
Of what our love means to me.
Look deep into my eyes
Can you see how I feel inside?
I need more than just your touch,
I’m in need of your ever lasting love
I know everything I say seems cliché,
But please, baby listen to what I have to say.
And
Step into my words, my words
Dance away with me.
Listen to my words, my words
Singing carelessly.
Hold on to my words, my words
And all our memories.
Wrap up in my words, my words
Of what our love means to me.
To love somebody they say is worth dying for,
To be lost in that moment forever.
So for better or for worse,
I ask that you hold me in your arms.
Listen to my words though they may seem cliché,
They portray everything that I want to say.
Step into my words, my words
Dance away with me.
Listen to my words, my words
Singing carelessly.
Hold on to my words, my words
And all our memories.
Wrap up in my words, my words
Of what our love means to me.
Step into my words, my words
Dance away with me.
Listen to my words, my words
Singing carelessly.
To my words, my words…
