In the dark of night, I hear a sound;
it summons me though I know not why. A specter I sense is quite close by, but it’s not there when I turn around. Something lurks in shadows I can’t see. I linger there in the moonlit streaks, my body trembles but not from fear; there’s no threatening in what I hear. Quietly, a potent Presence speaks. Unlock your suffering soul, pour out to Me your pain I long to set you free of all your agony. You have so much to gain. I’m here to make you whole. Is it true? I believe now in You. Only with the soul can we truly see. Copyright © October 30, 2008 by Karen M.
