When i met you, not too long ago
I knew you then, as neither friend nor foe You were my companion, and together we move I was the body, you, were the groove As i grew you became a friend One i could count on to never end You showed me forever was not all that long You taught me the lesson that you are never wrong They told me i would leave you, and you would go on I told them never, knowing one day i will be gone You will exist as you always have In the future, in the present, in the past
