Give and Take
"Give," I say, "but give by choice." Let givers rise in one voice to decree this is the way to help the poor, those in need who have no other way to feed their families each day. Take not from those who've paid the price to make their own way. Riches are their right to keep without an apology. Those who work should always be given right to peaceful sleep. Those who take who could labor aren't entitled to favor. We've become a nanny state where folks think that at their cry the "government" should comply to fill up their house and plate. There's no government supply, it all comes from you and I who have our money taken by bureaucrats and politicians who would destroy our nation and leave freedom forsaken. Rights to life and liberty and pursuit to be happy are what must be protected. Every man will get to choose which rights he desires to lose by who he has elected. Take a right from any man, you begin to kill this land - that our fathers fought to keep. We become what they deplored when we open up the door and in Communism creeps. Copyright © 2008 by Karen M.
