The rules don’t apply
If your tears never dry
When the morning sun
Is no different, than the night
When you give up on love
When your cards are all blank
Now your surrounded by bottles, you've drank

The rules don’t apply
If your dreams all die
You sleep for days
Simply to avoid waking up
When she left you, she broke you
And nobody can fix you
you lie broken, befuddled, and blue

The rules don’t apply
If you’re living a lie
When your heart only beats for the blood
Your true intentions, Hidden only in impressions
Your face lies, but your mind always knows
You’re broken from your head to your toes
Great highs now are only low lows

The rules don’t apply
If you’re pleading to die
When your mind is ticking, like a clock
Your fucked up inside
Your eyes too open and wide
To things that you wish not to see
I wish for love still, you and me
But I know it will never be
