Honoring Our Military We see our flag on high with soldiers standing by to fight without delay if danger comes our way. The mighty men of war defend our nation’s shore. With valor, heroes all; for us these men stand tall. They are the sharpened blade, the finest ever made, the sword that keeps us free, protecting liberty. In times of war and peace, maneuvers never cease as these courageous men stay ready to defend. Some are the ones we see there on the foreign field; but for each man in sight, the ones in secret fight. They don’t ask for honors as they protect their brothers; and we should lift a prayer of thanks that they are there. On the land or at sea, Those who serve, I believe, are the saints God has made - His mantle on them laid. We may not know each name but honor them today. Dear God, please hear our prayer, and let them know we care. Copyright © November 11, 2008 by Karen M. Crump If we desire to avoid insult, we must be able to repel it; if we desire to secure peace, one of the most powerful instruments of our rising prosperity, it must be known, that we are at all times ready for War.
